Just got the back. Was able to pick it up last night. Looks good. First fixie, rode around the block. Feels like it is going to take a long time to get used to this. By far the lightest bike i have owned. I had been riding a full suspension Sant Cruz mtn bike on the road. It will be interesting to see how much faster i ride because of the weight and tires.

Have to get new handlebars. Looking into some bull horns. I guess it is one size fits all and the sizing is for the width? Nitto ones look nice. but since this is an exercise bike for me, may just get a origin 8 or some cheap ones

thanks again for the help!

go with the width of your shoulders. kind of like a suit.

Youre also gonna need the correct clamp size to match your stem

I'm in need for some cranks that aren't complete **** (ie. Pake), so I found some Miche Primato Advanced cranks + Omnium chainring + Miche BB for $120? hmmm.

TheRealFaux 03-09-13 01:12 AM

You can do better. On my local forum someone is selling Omniums w/ BB for $100.

Wow, Omniums sell for $160+ here. I sold a set myself for that price.

You can get Miche Primatos + BB for around $150 new, I'd try to get them to lower the price.

He said it was an origin 8 bb, I got him down to $110 just cranks/chainring :/

edit: they are in perfect condition though

Origin 8 rebrands all of their stuff, can you link to what BB it is? $110 for just cranks and chainring isn't bad but I would personally fork over the extra $20 for a new pair.

It's a shame that I don't have a car to get up there. Maybe I should bike, haha.

GO bus goes to Barrie.
It's probably gone now, even gas pipe beaters usually have $100 prices around here.

God damn. Somebody buy this. The wheels alone are worth the asking price for complete.

but unfortunately i am under the S-1 ruling (S = number of bikes owned that would result in separation from wifey)

illdthedj 03-14-13 05:03 PM

oh and somewhat ebay related....if you have spare parts you've been thinking about selling i'd do it now in the spring, i tend to get the highest prices right about now.

seau grateau 03-14-13 05:03 PM

Maybe if you keep it in a dark corner she won't notice.
