so after two weeks of riding my new steam roller i deciced that i want a brake. yes, i know that makes me lame or what ever.... but i think i would ride faster with one and that is "cool" in my book.

so what brake length will fit? my LBS had a used tectro that they thouht was long (56mm ?) but it was a bit short. anyone know of a good one to get without spending big money?

I am getting the nashbar brand dual pivot long reach brakes. They are 25$ for the set(don't know if you want just one but for 25$ it is pretty cheap). The reach is 42-57mm I believe.

I just bought a shimano long reach from Nashbar for my steamroller for something like $35. It works and fits great. Ultegra quality and you can buy the front only.

I found some SunTour Superbe Pro single pivot calipers on Ebay. Nice classic look on any Steamroller.
