also have the velo orange seatpost. that isnt bad either.
i could be totally wrong but seatposts seem to be one of the more forgiving components in terms of quality.....meaning, getting a cheapo seatpost isn't as detrimental as getting a cheapo saddle or cheapo peddles or cheapo bottom bracket....same with headsets. once again i could be totally wrong.
i still rock a used miche supertype on my "pretty looking fixed gear street" bike lol....
does that make me a superficial jerk if i were to say i bought it for mostly the looks?

There is a Thompson on three of my bikes, but a carbon FSA on the Tarmac that I find is quite comfy and super light, and the stock Tarmac carbon post is on the 'Dale.

have a thomson elite setback. it's really light, but i don't really care, and i need something with more setback so i'm looking at the grand cru.
I also want a wound up seatpost something bad, so pissed i missed one on ebay that sold for like 40 dollars (btw if the guy that bought that sees this, i'll pay you some extra for it

eek! really? thats the first ive heard of cracked supertypes. good thing mine is on a bike i generally take it easy on....guess i should invest in some kevlar boxer briefs lol
