Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Do you hide your 'dirt' mags under the bed, away from the dissaproving eyes of your fellow ss'ers?

Filthy mountain bikes. Bad, bad..BAD.
Don't stray,.....stay on the right side of the tracks son.

We have a liberal weekly paper here, and recently they had an article about fixies. I haven't read it yet, but apparently it was good. I don't know why exactly I'm contributing this (yes I do, it's booze), but I thought I'd share.

Man, I'm feeling rightous. I think booze might have something to do with it. It might be blaring the stereo full blast at work and having all the machines running. It might be pushing that button that's marked 'strong coffee' in the cafeteria...

What?

I have the feeling last night was more caffine than anything... I had 2 pots of coffee before work (4oz of Jameson worked in there somewhere, stopped 2 hours before work)... Then I slammed 2 of those Starbucks double shots that the grocery store sells when I got to work... Then I started hitting the 'strong coffee' button over and over again...

When I went into work, there was a LONG list of 'hot jobs' that had to be done. When I left, there were two jobs on that list. One is out on proof, the other was 30 copies from being done (1/2 hour, tops). I was feeling pretty rightous today - I freakin kicked a55 and took names at work. It was probably close to a record night for production.

I tried the mostly clean blood again a couple of weeks ago (remember the coffee bean avatar? That was only caffine and nicottene all week. And I did have smoke, though I didn't use it...) and didn't like it much...

And skitbra - is this the link to the article you mentioned?
