Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Voodoo Agwe - MonsterCross Discussion

This bike is a 28/29 singlespeed dirt townie. Its like someone mated a cyclocross with a 29er and a bastard child was born.

I haven't the slightest heck what a 28er is but you can run up to 700X45 on one.

Where monstercross comes in is fitting a cross or 29er frame with huge tires.

In short, something more the cyclocross rules allow and less than a fat bike aka a sand or
snow bike.

There are thread about it over on MTBR forums.

You could fit 50mm Big Apples on a Surly Crosscheck and a Mercier WT.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about... but there are few bikes that can take huge tires in their forks and rear stays.

My Bianchi San Jose singlespeed can only accept up to 42.
