Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The Mongoose Maurice existed long before that crappy Wal-mart Cache.

The new colors do suck though.

It looks good but the price is all wrong. Also, integrated stem/bars suck.

old one is cute. New one doesn't make me rage but I won't be riding it anytime soon. Speaking of which I'm considering a leader 725 build. Cannabalizing the sputnik and rebuilding it later as a old styled trackish build with box rims and a lot of polished steel.

The newest reincarnation looks like it can do barspinz with a 700 minus the brake.... possibly?

I'm thinking Murdered out with a bit of steel, B43's, Track drops, nothing flashy, but nice clean, thick lines.

Bikes: raleigh m-60, azonic steelhead, schwinn world sport fixed gear

the new one would look so much better with normal(read not color matched) stem, bars, grips and levers.
