what makes this better than the tried and true formulas, or dura ace hubs?

Artisan workmanship, better quality bearings (and more of them), and they're guaranteed for life.

As for performance... I have not found a hub that runs any smoother, they are designed to be bombproof, and not every kid on the block will have a set of these on their bike.

It is like buying a hand made frame... you can buy something off the peg to suit your needs but when a frame is designed to fit you like a glove and every detail is your choice, it makes a difference.

On the other end of things, we make tandem hubs for touring applications that have been taken around the planet and had no issues... and they just keep going and going and going.

I cant wait keith.
I have been putting off buying hubs, looking at either dura-ace or paul components,
But having seen arvon hubs first hand I can vouch completely for their quality, they are hands down the nicest hubs I have seen, and I want!
Ill save some money now and maybe put some down on a set at christmas when I get back to edmonton.

Oh yea, I just had a realization that you might know Keith since you are from the there originally. :P

Very interested in Scrod's feedback with the hubs.

You are one of the reasons we went ahead and decided to build these... :)

He has some pull... and we have spent a few hours turning wrenches together.

Incidentally, I met him at the local bike co-op, both of us were turning wrenches at one point, very swell fellow he is.

probably a dumb question, but is that enough lockring threading? looks a bit short.

will be interesting to see where these fall price-wise compared to phils or pauls
