Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Post Your First Fixed Gear

I figured this might be a fun idea, so everyone post a picture of your very first fixed gear bicycle!

Here is mine, a converted Schwinn World Sport

Bikes: Murdered out Raleigh Grand Prix

Had a sweet wreck going down a busy main street during rush hour on this one, tore my face open and bruised my right eyeball. got to spend a month lookin like a zombie. Sidewalks are the enemy.

never actually got a picture of my first build it was a grey Motobecane Mirage conversion with blue veeps, sold it to a buddy to build this,

also sold.

Hope this tread goes on for awhile, our embarrassing newb builds are funny. Also kinda endearing.

Sadly my newb build is my current build , being a broke college student holds me back from making something nice.
