Blow to fixed gear riders in NC...

The state has decided not to allow sales of 190 proof grain alchohol any more.
They decided it has no redeeming social value.

I think it's an underhanded attack on the alley cat kool aid.

dookie 11-30-10 09:15 PM

and no more four loco / jooce either!

evilcryalotmore 11-30-10 09:32 PM

awhh.

In la everyone i know right now thinks its too cold to ride.

I came from Canada, its warm(:

Squirrelli 11-30-10 09:39 PM

^ Cool story, eh.

How is it relevant to the OP though?

cc700 11-30-10 09:45 PM

when it's cold out high proof liquer keeps you warm by making you not feel feelings.

Squirrelli 11-30-10 09:50 PM

I figured right after I posted it...

komon senz, i has nun.

Panda Bear 11-30-10 10:21 PM

This really is a shame. It's a trend that's spreading around the country. I'm thinking of stocking up before the ban hits Iowa.

bumblebeetuna 11-30-10 11:49 PM

It's North Carolina. Don't they make their own moonshine there?

cc700 11-30-10 11:55 PM

yeah, in the 30's.

we've moved on to oxycodone now.

-Sigh- It only hurts because it is true.

I will crawl back into the basement on the hill.

In other news:

"The process of making moonshine in Tennessee is now legal. Laws changed last summer and one company is banking on a booming business."

PlattsVegas 12-01-10 12:01 PM

Get some Devil Springs, 160 proof. it's just as dangerous.

By 'dangerous' you mean 'effective'?

dsh 12-01-10 01:19 PM

It's ok, now you can do whippits and get drunk at the same time:

What's the proof on that? I can't quite read it, but this makes me very sad.

hpmcardle 12-01-10 02:36 PM

In the grand ol' state of Michigan we just saw a triple-ban of Four Loko, salvia AND K2. Feels so bad man.

hairnet 12-01-10 02:36 PM

Now what will we mix into our rum?

that must be their kids' version, as the same product (at least the 190 proof version) is also on the NC ban list. apparently the state ABC did a sales analysis and found that the vast majority of this stuff was sold at stores near to college campuses.

go figure.

on the plus side, they are allowing the existing stock to be sold and a lower proof version of everclear (151 proof) to remain. and yes, there are already a couple commercial corn liquors (ie: moonshine) on the market.

i'm a beer man, myself.

The only thing that sucks about it is that it's illegal nao! :0

Salvia = not extremely unhealthy = I still have lungs to bike!

Also, felt good man.

18.25%, and each can is basically 12 oz (375 ml).

So if you down a whole can it's kinda like 1 fourloko in terms of alkyhol.
