Goodbye gp 4000!

Deshi 12-23-10 08:38 PM

And?

d8168055 12-23-10 08:56 PM

feels like a Rapha video...

avner 12-23-10 09:16 PM

it's cool, its scary for me to watch him go down that with no brakes. Anyone guess what Gear Ratio he's running? looks pretty big in the front.

That is open to interpretation.

I almost didn't open this thread. Glad I did, well worth the few minutes. Thanks for posting.

Agreed! I feel that in my opinion this is a fairly good video. Good enough that I watched the whole thing anyway.

And I feel in my opinion that it was rather boring. I just dont understand why someone would actually ride down that mountain on a fixed gear without brakes. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Im also sick to death of seeing ****in skin tight denim on males. Its disgusting.

But yeah, meto

PeDDeR27 12-23-10 11:50 PM

Watching him skid on those what look to be GP4000S's makes me cringe.

Very cool video, though. Scary.. lol

xavier853 12-24-10 12:03 AM

a scary amount of spinning

WoundedKnee 12-24-10 12:08 AM

The song was cool.

Ipedaltahoe 12-24-10 12:11 AM

that was sick, I am more impressed with the uphill on the bike, looked brutal. And this is why I ride a single speed, with one back break. I have no health insurance.

Aloe 12-24-10 12:40 AM

I would consider throwing that brake on the front, Ipedaltahoe. Skid stop w/ front brake saved my ass once when someone short-stopped me at the base of a hill.

Great video. Terrible shorts for sure; I feel like i need to throw on some body glide just watching him ride. For a second i thought it was James Franco making another '127 hours' type of movie.

rustybrown 12-24-10 05:43 PM

Moar whips skiz, plz.

Looks like a fun road, boyeee.

cc700 12-24-10 06:03 PM

i like it but i think the shorts and no helmet are dumb and stupid and ****ty. info on frame?

did you fly over the top of your bars?

kyselad 12-24-10 06:13 PM

Silly video is silly. Hating roadies been right.

beebe 12-24-10 06:22 PM

One of the largest benefits I derive from riding a fixed gear is a lack of necessary maintenance. Why does it seem like every fixie video starts with someone doing some sort of maintenance or assembly on their bike and then purposely destroying their tires?

crackrocksteady 12-24-10 07:03 PM

damn that would be a beautiful ride.

I always wanted to ride through the mountains when i was close to Mt. ranier national park.

No, fortunately i did not. It was a fairly shallow slope on the leeward side of the hill. Very awkward stop though. I had 5 skid pads on the tire and was able to seize the wheel a few times times, but eventually fish tailed on the last skid and then hit the front brake as a last ditch effort.

The driver ignored the bike lane and was looking to squeeze past a line of cars get into the right turn lane, but didn't make it.

Cool video, he's pretty awesome for being able to do that, but I think roadies be laughing. I certainly would as I spun in a comfortable gear past him.

Roadies don't like to have fun on bikes. They only like to spin efficiently.

That's why I don't consider myself one, despite my unsightly spandex and riding on roads.
