heck if I was in a good mood and it went smoothly I'd do it for a sixer.
|
I'd do it for a 6-pack of fancy brew, assuming this is just a bare frame with HS cups and BB in it. If it's got crank, chain, handlebars, fork and all those other fiddly bits, gotta be a twelve pack.
Might have to say a case if you don't want me to ding up your headset cups with a screwdriver. |
Why would you be using a screwdriver to remove a headset?
|
Maybe he's talking about the crown race. I've used a screwdriver and hammer for those before... found the method on the interwebs. It works, but just barely.
|
i'll do it for 2 4-locos and a mixtape of artists no one knows.

the lbs 15 miles from me wanted $10 to take off the truvativ cranks + bottom bracket and install my dura-ace cranks + bottom bracket on my chrome pista. when they did someone there bought the truvativs from me for $30 so i walked out with an extra $20 in my pocket and my dura ace on my bike. im going to spend the money and buy the tool to do it myself, aside from truing wheels that is the only time i ever had anyone work on my bike. i dont like having to pay people to work on my bikes, cars, etc....

I learned how to remove a headset by trying it out on a sweet campy headset.
I had the correct wrenches and when I was done it still looked like I use vise grips. |

You can remove a threaded headset without the use of a wrench? Damn...you're good.
I don't think he was even talking about removing the cups. |

I don't understand why there are always so many redundant posts. Don't you people read through the thread before typing and see that your thoughts have already been posted?
|
Nobody cares about professional engineers except professional engineers and wannabees.
