Pake and zipp are never meant to be mixed. Please tell me the gold is going to be gone soon. Everything else is superb.

Agh it's not my day today. :notamused:

Good for OP. :thumb:

Thanks :)

Tentative plan is black RD-2's and maybe a Kinlin rear from Scrod, but I would have to figure out something to blacken the machined brake surface. Otherwise...maybe an Ellipse?

It's a 700c 440, just looks a little small cause the frame's a 61.

Get Omniums.

And they're really not even that much more $$...what's going on with the newer version that's supposed to be coming out?

Also...Do NMSW XR-300's exist?

Hopefully the older version will be cleared out for le cheaps when the new version comes out.

And apparently NMSW XR300s only exist on Novatec Force wheels.

Anyone know the geometry on a Leader 720? There is a new one for sale by me for 145, debating about picking it up.

Possibly. The horns are chopped so it's hard to tell. The bike is awesome anyway you slice it though!

Lilcphoto 07-10-11 05:32 PM

for FREE! But the previous owner chopped the ends and sandblasted them... I figured I would try them out, and I have to say they aren't terrible, though my wrists hurt a bit more than the risers.

Adjusting the angle a bit may help. I've never owned any bullhorns so I can't give you any info. Let's see if we can get Scrod to help out.

actually the angle is good, its just the nature of the bars. I got the Nitto RB-009's because I wanted a flat top (Syntac's roll down and slightly back which for me makes an odd wrist angle) but the Nitto's just have too much of a drop. If these guys weren't chopped, it might be a bit more comfortable angled down, but the way they are now they provide great power in the horns, and would be a bit more comfortable had I not had to man the brake so often (lots of families ride the Spring Water Corridor)

Either way, it was more of an experiment to try out the bars. I'll most likely be switching back to the risers fairly soon.

Sherblock 07-10-11 05:43 PM

Are you riding on the horns or on the flats? I ride horns, which doesn't make me an expert, but I ride on the flats just as much as the horns.

Lilcphoto 07-10-11 05:47 PM

Riding on the horns is definitely more comfortable, but like I said, since there was soo many families, I was sticking to the "flats" to man the brake. The way the Syntac's roll down and back isn't the most comfortable. But a free bar is a free bar, and I do like the way it looks.

hamfoh 07-10-11 08:02 PM

yo I just saw on your PR you do custom vinyl decals for the downtube. What's that cost and are they removable?

raklyiz 07-13-11 02:20 AM

Everything looks great! Nice choice on the Omniums. Can you explain the red tire please?
