I've been admiring the 722-TS for a while and pulled the trigger yesterday.
Can't wait to get it built up!

Nice! What color did you go with?

I think we'll see several black friday 722ts builds in the upcoming weeks. :D

That is one sexy build. I wouldn't expect any less. I will say this though, much like the Cinelli Mash offering I think the sloping TT is ridiculous on a street bike and kind of ugly. I was sad to see them go in this direction as much as I was to see Cinelli do it. I hope the 2012 takes a different approach.

Aesthetically, it's a subjective thing. I don't think the slope is very excessive on these bikes--not like the Affinity Lo Pro. However, I feel like it's only natural they've ended up in this direction. The Cdale track was the holy grail of track bikes on the street for a few years (and perhaps still for some people), and this sort of just mimics it. Also, it makes more sense to have this style for a street bike, since you don't ride 50+ miles on the street nonstop and it's nice to have that kind of handling through traffic (and for fun).

I've also heard it's "faux pursuit," and it actually has pretty relaxed geometry for what it is.

Considering my Kagero is a 55cm and has a 59cm seat tube (to accommodate the sloping tt), it would pretty much be just like any other frame if it had a 55cm seat tube and a level top tube. Same with the MASH.

homebrewk 11-26-11 02:59 PM

Your 55cm has a 59cm seat tube? Interesting.

xkillemallx16 11-26-11 03:10 PM

59cm is probably c-t.

Scrodzilla 11-26-11 03:14 PM

Yeah. c-c is around 57ish.

IMO it's really amazing how far a set of hoods can go. They turned this from a regular old black leader into a classy ride without compromising comfort or aesthetics.
