Does your bike handle strangely having a fork with so much rake?

stryper 04-04-13 06:24 PM

Maybe it's just the angle of the photo, but holding the original Leader fork up against this 3T one, they are the exact same. Bike handles fine

calv 04-04-13 06:48 PM

Is this the fork that you have? http://www.3tcycling.com/forks/rigida

I'm 99.999999999% certain 3T doesn't make a fork with less than 43mm rake. Leader's carbon forks have always been 30-35mm.

stryper 04-04-13 07:24 PM

It's the 3T funda pro, 43mm rake calv.

And Scrod, I didn't replace any Leader carbon fork, the bike came with their matching aluminum fork from the 725tr official release pre-order back in the day seen here:

Fureal? My neck is at least Mexican while my torso says Alaskan. The arms aren't as pronounced. But yes, shirtless guy

The go pro was for one of the dudes that didn't race, he's a film major and is always messing with footage.
Overall it was fun. First group ride of the year, solid bbq and beer after party.

And an actual picture of my current setup: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...ps34c1b12c.jpg

Pardon my ignorance but that crank looks fantastic. What make is it?

Old 70's Sugino Mighty Competition cranks, I drilled the holes myself to kind of mimic the Sugino Road Mighty which had slots on the spiders. I stripped and drilled the chain ring to match, which is a 49t 3/32 Blackspire.

edit: thread about the cranks here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...rms?highlight=

Stealthy. Lookin good

calv 04-05-13 01:53 PM

That is majorly stealthy.

Nagrom_ 04-05-13 02:37 PM

Take some spray paint to that steerer tube.

Jandro 04-05-13 02:48 PM

Looks fun!

OOC, is the frame a bit small (hence the spacers) or is that just how it works with risers (I'm a riser newb)?

Scrodzilla 04-05-13 02:49 PM

Leaders are notoriously low-profile frames but the bars are up a little high.

I'm probably going to chop another 20mm off the steerer but didn't want to commit just yet. Today was literally the first time I rode the thing.

gregjones 04-05-13 03:07 PM

Familiar feeling.

calv 04-05-13 04:05 PM

Dude Scrod those grips are so awesome. I need to pick up a pair when I need new ones.

seau grateau 04-05-13 04:18 PM
