agreed, the hubs are absurd and i wish people made compatible rims

Soo__Fuego 09-09-13 10:17 PM

Those CC hubs beautiful.

Is $300 a fair price for a 725 frameset in good condition (with carbon fork)? I've been on the fence about building a Leader frame up for a while now.

Scrodzilla 09-10-13 10:14 AM

That depends on the following:

1. Which version is it?
2. What condition is it in?
3. Is it your size?

YK_ 09-10-13 10:58 AM

1. 10036 LD-725TR
2. "pristine" says the seller; it does look very good
3. I ride a 47cm Kilo, the Leader is a 52cm. From what I can tell it'll be a bit longer on the top tube but should still fit. Let me know if I'm wrong with assuming that.

1) Scrod meant which version of the fork. There is a carbon with aluminum steerer and a full carbon version. Big difference in price between them.

3) There is a big difference in top tube length between a 47cm Kilo TT (513mm TT) and a 52cm Leader. Also, the Leader 725 comes in a 51cm (540mm TT) or 53cm (550mm TT) size, not 52cm.

YK_ 09-10-13 11:18 AM

Oh ****, sorry. The fork from what I can tell says "I-806TT Aero"

Actually, I meant which version is the frame. Some of the earlier ones were known to be problematic.

It doesn't matter anyway considering it's not your size.

Yeah, I'm really not sure which of the two it would be. The seller just says 52cm. Without a sizing chart for the exact model, I guess I'll stay away from it. Thanks for the help (you+Scrod).

Say what you will, the EQNX is a rad frame.

Mumonkan 09-11-13 06:31 AM

bars are still horrendous, no matter what bike they put them on

prooftheory 09-11-13 06:51 AM

They aren't 3t scattos?
edit: I guess not after doing a comparison. I don't really think they look that bad.

Scrodzilla 09-11-13 06:52 AM

Regardless of what they are, they have nothing to do with the frame.

So, when will that frame be available and how much will it cost ?

Scrodzilla 09-11-13 07:15 AM

Those details haven't been disclosed.

Muffin Man 09-11-13 09:28 AM

I can dig it. Probably won't dig the price, but it looks cool.

They're functional though; they're not for looks. Lucas Binder, the rider in the pictures, tears it up on the track.

Matt Lingo, who works for Leader alongside with Lucas Binder, told me those are Trigon carbon bars. They're not on the Trigon website, so they might be prototypes. They look similar to the bars the British Track Team used in the Olympics.

I actually like them quite a bit. I think they would look pretty badass on an aero track frame. They would be completely stupid to use on the street, though.

FakeFuji 09-11-13 08:19 PM

I like the frame I am just scared I will have to purnounce the name outloud.

It has that nifty European ring to it doesn't it. I don't even know what Renovatio means can someone chime in on this.

Huffandstuff 09-11-13 11:57 PM

Those bars are hideous no matter how many gold medals they've won, I just want those Cane Creek wheels
