Can't view last page of certain threads...why?

Can't view last page of certain threads...why?
Sometimes when I want to go to the last page on a thread, (page 410 of the Mercier Kilo tt pics thread for instance), I'll click on the last page but I'll be directed to page 398 or somethng like that. The thread won't let me go further than that. Anyone know why this happens. Just curious. Thanks

Those are phantom pages. When posts are deleted, it seems some elements of the forum software think the posts are still there, so there can be a page or two that don't really exist.
