Your bike's name
Well I have a white motobecane frame with gold rims. I named her Pegasus but recently I changed my handlebar tape from white to black...so for now...he shall be called Dark Pegasus....Sorry if this thread has already been made already but I was wondering if any of you other riders have named your "whip". And if so, justification or any meaning behind the name? xD

I don't like assigning inanimate objects names, it just creeps me out. Aside from calling it by it's model exactly, I simply use a shorter renditions of the company assigned names for my bikes. For example my bianchi pista concept = pcept; leader LD-727TR = 727; cannondale track = cdale track (cdale is there to prevent any mix up of merit with the fuji).
Only what I call my cinelli vigorelli, breaks the mold; I call it the magica, after a decal on its top tube.

If you don't name your bikes you don't love them.
Why do you hate your bikes?

I guess I'm a dork :]. A happy one a matter a fact. After a long ride I sometimes congratulate Pegasus on a ride well done after conquering a steep mountain. Haha just kidding. However when I talk to friends and other riders I've warm up to I eventually mention my bike's name. They either think it's funny and cool....or funny and dumb, but often just brush it off. It's all good, I personally love giving intimate objects that are special to me names because it brings them to life
. Just as my old childhood teddy bear (Jonathan) and my car (Bonnie). On a side note I want to design and name my next bike after Hercules. That is all.
