I might go to new york for the weekend, so would I be welcome? I'm thinking of doing the critical mass also but i'm not sure if i'm even going. Any suggestions on what to do while i'm there if i'm not welcome on the ride.

no but better to be sure. . . I've only been to new york once so maybe if one of you guys could show me arround if I go if you don't mind. . . are any of you going to the crtitical mass on friday? I think i'll be there and that way I can get to know some New York kids. I'm originally from venezuela, lived in florida for a while and i've only been living here in the northeast for 3 years so i'm still kind of facinated with it all.

well, first of all, you are most welcome. i mean, the last/first ride was just glomarduck, myself, and my GF. so if we were gonna get exclusive, uh, it'd get pretty boring quickly.

there's a hearing going on as i write this in a NYC courtroom concerning critical mass, so what happens friday remains to be seen. this might have repercussions elsewhere, as they're seeking to make riding in CM a federal crime. (how ridiculous is that?!)

as for suggestions, i'd say just ride around. get a free bike map at any bike shop, hit the parks, the bike paths along the water (west-side of manhattan is probably easiest). one of my favorite things? head to queens for amazing ethnic food: thai, chinese, egyptian, greek - the list goes on and on...

i think i'm gonna have to miss saturday's ride, but if CM is an option, i'm in for that.

Coming from Boston, you may not want to discuss baseball.
