Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, I have a thing for heavy bikes for whatever reason. Maybe I just haven't ridden enough light ones

I'm wondering if I should just wait a bit and buy something like a fuji track pro, or something else? Suggestions?

I guess its a little too late for you, but you should have definitely taken it up to Starlight Bikes (formerly Keirin Culture) in downtown Roanoke....

Well, I have a date with someone from craigslist tomorrow to buy my roadie. (even though I love that thing) I figured I'd throw that money directly at a new visp, and ride that for a while and whip my sorry butt back into shape. I got pudgy after not riding fixed since last september. :-\

Then hopefully get a new roadie sometime this summer. Who knows though maybe I won't even bother with a roadie, and just get a nicer fixie. Can never have too many bikes I feel.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I hated myself for putting a brake on it. Yesterday a girl on a scooter ate it just a couple feet away from me. There was no way I could've stopped quick enough without it. I feel better now.

Thats my front door by the way

Did it have to be drilled or could the plug just be punched out?
