Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I miss my leader
I don't have any idea what my next bike project is going to be.
I like the Wabi, but I like the Super/Concept Pista, and FTP quite a bit too.
I don't have any money left
I'm going to do violent things if I ever see someone on my bike.

Nah I havent done TT in years. I liked it when it was small, the last time I went it was full of kids that ride just to get plastered.

I live real close to the Crank Mob Park, do they still meet there?

That's Richie with a wig. The only thing I dont like is that the editor used a photo of the bike I was run over on (1:27) and then my comments were blocked after I pointed it out.

Totally got my jeans caught in the chain a couple weeks ago. Surprisingly, I didn't crash. I was right by a parked car though and after I was finished rolling up my pant leg I heard from within "Yo Bike, what are you doing?"

Uhh, just being a little stupid, carry on.

drops or bull horns ? have you look at any of the guides or videos online.
Try searching for the park guide as a basic guide. Rememeber to keep them tight tight as you go.

I am going to try to do mine like this next time I wrap them

https://www.bikecollectives.org/wiki/...Handlebar_Wrap

but I am wrapping bullhorns

in the ~58ish area. I don't know if I have long legs or a long torso with short arms. But I hate long top tubes

Also, I'm briefly shown in the new "To live in ride in LA" teaser during the Ally cat portion.
I was sitting on the site of the rode after leaving school. My brake had come loose and I was angry at my ex girlfriend, and not getting the class I was trying to add and suddenly a huge group of rides yells "Come ride with us!"..Epic night.

I miss not having many friends in the cycling community. It seems the more people I know the more dramatic my life gets and the more unhappy I am. It was much more fun just meeting new friends all the time.

Oh, another confession. Carrying anger is like poisoning yourself, you can feel its toxicity polluting and distorting everything.

sometimes I ride the B rides only because there are women...and at that pace I can ride no-hands and chit chat. Then head to the point and freak em out for a mile or so, at least until people start yelling.

Confession: I love riding no-handed. Holdover from childhood, I suppose, when I was like 9 and all the OMG so cool teenagers in my neighborhood could do it and I couldn't. I recently altered my commute slightly and now I have a few blocks on quiet neighborhood streets where I can ride no-handed and it's so sweet.

Probably shouldn't be doing it with my work laptop in my pannier. Heh.

A bunch of guys in my dorm just got sweet old roadies (a bunch of treks, nishikis and univegas). It kind of makes me miss when my bike was in full roadie mode.

...Then I remember how I never shifted anyway

i skid through a tire and tube on the way home from work, had forgotten my wallet, and walked a few miles home.

so today i took the kilo and got a quarter mile away before realizing the cranks were falling off(i had started to uninstall them, nothing wrong with them i just forgot they were partially disassembled)

so fixed that like an idiot, was only 15 minutes late, then got home from work and immediately changed the tire on the chaibike and instead of installing a brake i installed the fork, front wheel and brake from my cyclocross bike. it's hilarious but totally bull****.

i think i'm going to build up the cross bike with gears again and commute on it, which means my track bikes are now totally redundant.

so i'm thinking about selling one or both to fund a nicer track or cross bike, like a carbon JTS or a titanium rodriguez.
