I shoot with a Pentax K-7 and a 1959 Ricoh double lens reflex. It's just a hobby.
Wine country landscapes (giving you an idea of why I think this is one of the most beautiful places to ride): http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/...d8ff8655_z.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4082/...3945969d_z.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/...b1fd05eb_z.jpg Random Cyclists: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/...cbbe2613_z.jpg And my pugs: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/...593d6849_z.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/...f52f6223_z.jpg |

Sweet, I usually take my smaller SLR in a bag that just barely fits it (Nikon D60) and my 35mm lens. It seems to work okay, but I'm trying to figure out a way to just carry my camera without a bag without it swinging around on me.

The smallest camera that I've ever owned was also my favorite. I made hundreds if great photos with it.
Canon SD20 http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5217/...9e3c4c5e_z.jpg I used it A LOT. I snapped that photo of it before I lost it. I think I left it in a taxi. Here is a reference pic of how small it is: http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/can...d20-inhand.jpg From: http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/can...0/sd20-gen.php Traveling on bike with an SLR is a pain in the butt no matter how you look at it. I hate to say it. I'm speaking from experience. When I shot BMX, I would have to carry my SLR while riding to different spots with the guys doing tricks. I used one of those backpack SLR case things that looked like a school backpack. It sucked. You had to get off the bike and lay the bag flat on the ground to get access to the camera body and lenses. My advice. Find a small camera and learn how to make great photos with it. |

I usually shot with a canon sd750 when im on my bike, I was just curious if there was any way that people carry their slr's while biking that make things easier.
That being said I'm convinced it's not the camera it's the photographer, I bet you could get a good shot with just about anything.
