search "toe overlap" and then realize you have to deal with it.

Scrodzilla 04-13-11 05:06 PM

Stop looking at your bike and ride the damn thing.

I was riding the Concept for the first time today and I had a trouble turning at some point.

But I didnt have this problem with my previous bikes. I can deal with it though. Hopefully my front tubular tires dont explode from the toeclips......

The more you ride it, the more you'll become used to the toe overlap. It happens. If it's really that big of a problem, then the Pista Concept isn't the right bike for you.

Dude, your previous bikes were not real track bikes, so they had relaxed geometry to provide toe clearance for casual riders. This is a real serious honest to goodness track bike which has quick handling at the expense of toe overlap. It also has no provision for a front brake and those lightweight tubulars won't last very long if you skid a lot. So, you'd better figure things out pretty quickly before you end up on your ass, or better yet get rid of it and get something more suitable to your needs and abilities.

Get shorter crank. :p

If you actually had an issue with this while out riding, then you are riding way too slow to be on a concept and probably just look like a jackass.

devalious 04-13-11 05:26 PM

The rear doesn't have tubulars FYI.

Thanks for the information. =)

Leukybear 04-13-11 05:27 PM

Sell the concept to me and buy another bike that doesn't have that problem.
We can discuss terms via private messages.

uymm.. he's probably riding to slow on any bike. in that case. don't see why being on a concept matters.

Does your Concept have four wheels or something?

Its a bike with tight clearance meant to be used on a track. If he's on a frame designed for street use, he doesn't have that problem. I'm just saying he's on a frame that clearly isn't right for him, because if it was, he wouldn't be making this thread.

Scrodzilla 04-13-11 06:36 PM

I'm no doctor but my prognosis is that you're screwed.

Dauphine 04-13-11 06:37 PM

It it hits the toe clip, just take the toe clips off! Right? No?

TejanoTrackie 04-13-11 06:40 PM

There's always the option of surgery.

FWIW, my crit bike has the same type of geometry and the only time it's ever been an issue is trackstanding at a light.

LupinIII 04-13-11 06:45 PM

only bike i have that has toe overlap is my road bike...

hairnet 04-13-11 06:49 PM

The worst was when I rode a 43cm. Man, small bikes suck
