Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Tonight I'm at home in my bed after a weekend of camping and some singletrack on the new carve.

today i:
well, yesterday i worked all day and then i came home and made soup before starting a vodka redbull drinking session en route to a dance party night with my roommates at a drum and bass / glitch show where there was a hilarious tire chain swing. like, thirty feet of swinging. so yeah i came home after that and called up a friend and we talked on the phone for a while. fell asleep at 6am basically. then i heard my phone ring saying mountain biking for today was rained out and no one was going, which wasn't bad concerning how hungover and nautious i felt. then i got a call from work and got the disturbing revelation that they scheduled me for BOTH weekend days this week. which, like, never happens. so i had to get up and came into work late and worked all day. it was brutal.
and i'm like, finally feeling okay after some taco bell gutbombs.

Man, I am really loving Retroshift as well. So much nicer than STI in my opinion.

The wind was so bad last night that a tree fell onto a car on my block. The City sent a crew out to clear it from the road with chainsaws. At 2AM

It is a great bike, but now that I have the Wabi I doubt it'll get ridden more than a handful of times.
