EPS? I wish. Veloce or Centaur. Haven't decided.

This makes me so happy.

Same. I don't ever want to get my **** stolen, but I think a lot of us would be lying if we haven't dreamed about some /r/justiceporn-esque scenario like this going down.

Glad you got yr whip back.

Bummed you didn't videotape the encounter for our entertainment though. Get your ****ing priorities straight man!

Back on topic, today I wish my school deadlines would fall of the same stupid imaginary cliff I've been waiting my roommate and his gf to plummet down in a fiery ball

Today my Camelbak podium bottle started singing at me, and I freaked the **** out because it hasn't done that in a while, and I forgot what it sounded like.

**** was scary man.
An nah. I had a orchestra rehearsal until 5:30, and I have a final I need to study for this week, so I'm not going to be doing much. Except for getting that fit.

bro 04-30-13 01:22 AM

Wha? Can you elaborate, bro?

bro 04-30-13 01:48 AM

56 top tube, 49 seat tube, pushed my saddle forward 1cm from previous slammed position, raised stem 7/8" from previous slammed position, affecting my overall fit for the better. i feel like in a perfect world id be running a 53 top tube and 120 stem, with a 55 seat tube, 170 cranks and 28c 700c tires. but im working with what i have on a budget.

edit and i know that moving it forward 1cm wont make it fit like exactly a 51 due to the 72 degrees and **** but it works for me **** it

and dont tell me to "buy a bike that fits well in the first place" cause its my first build, the top tube definitely fits, and im still proud of it.

yeah in hindsight i wouldve done better but i dont think i did too bad.

And what does tire size do in relation to bike fit? Please elaborate :)

Yeah, saddle's still way behind the BB, but some people like it like that.

Training.Wheels 04-30-13 03:09 AM

So wait, did you fit yourself onto your bike properly then decided it didn't feel good, or are you just guessing your saddle position? Respectfully asking here; not trying to bust your balls or nothin.

bro 04-30-13 03:25 AM

i didnt get fitted. had a few bikes from garage sales and thrift stores, sort of half built one by myself, been riding around town/at the greenhouses for a couple years out of necessity, learned a ton of stuff online, sort of figured out how i wanted my bike to fit along the way. i try to go by like comfort, pedaling power/efficiency, how much i can stretch out while still being comfortable, stuff like that. ill definitely build more bikes. just finished my first "from scratch" build and its a little aggressive, i think im more of a "french fit" type of guy haha but i like to just jet out really fast and get where im going quick but ive realized i dont think the aggro setup is really going to get me anywhere -that- much faster haha

LesterOfPuppets 04-30-13 03:28 AM

Yeah, that's a pretty short seattube for the top tube. When you put those specs up I thought for sure it would be sloping top tube frame. That frame is hot, though!

That's a usable top tube for me but with that low head tube I'd have to be running Technomic stem for sure.

Ahh I see. You should perhaps try some of the fit guidelines on this page: http://bikedynamics.co.uk/guidelines.htm

I'm only saying this because you've got one hefty setback, which you don't need unless you've got long femurs (like I do). If your "proper fit" put your saddle more forward, you wouldn't feel so stretched out/aggressive. I feel you though, I settled on risers because I didn't like being aggro for long periods.

thanks! yeah, the top tube is a-ok but i definitely didnt need -that- much drop... ill probably put a new picture up at some point

Yesterday the universe must have overheard me ordering new tires from Scrod and decided to send a final FU by giving me my second rear flat in 3 days. Another puncture. Chicago roads are complete **** right now after the winter - I don't know if I've ever seen them so torn up. Potholes that will **** your car up, let alone your bike, and the debris from the crumbling roads everywhere. Looks like they are just starting the street sweeping schedule so hopefully some of that will get cleaned up.

Hilariously I also ordered tires for my dude's bike from Scrod and he ALSO got a puncture flat yesterday. WTF.

Today I had my second English exam of the semester. So now I'm all done with those for a few months. One tomorrow, One Thursday, and I'm done for the year. Really ready to go home and do nothing but make money and play bieks every single day for 3 months. And its perfect because I'm not moving until Saturday, and my friend's 21st birthday is Friday. One final hurrah for the year.

Also, coffee/study date with cute redhead this evening. I am excite.

Mumonkan 04-30-13 11:34 AM

today i ate **** on a turn with loose gravel since i topped off my tires today
then i rode through a cloud of gnats so thick it felt like i was riding through tall grass, so disgusting

blasted over all the hills on the roads though
