Today I got to drive my wife's car for the first time to work after delivering her to the airport in the morning; gotta give it to audi for engineering such a car that packages both sport and luxury into a fun package. Abnormally empty strip of socal highway + only one at meter light = redline launch.
All this fun was bittersweet when I went to the pump on the way; 14/22mpg and premium only FTL.

Prius's are cheap when put in comparison with modern cars that have a low mpg... ironically... said audi cost the price of two of them. =/

had a geo that got 50...but it started to die, so I went shopping...ended up with a Hyundai accent that claimed 28-37...next year they had the "seriously whats it get mpg" and it listed it at 24-27... Mine averaged around 24... I was soo pissed at losing half my mpg, but those days are long gone.

TOday I decided to change my cog out from 19t to 18t for a little less spin. Turns out my chain is too long, or when I remove a piece, my tire rubs the frame.. So since I had to get to class, I took my friends 55 or 58c Kilo that was all stock. I quickly switched out the saddle+post to my Turbo and stuck on my Nitto Noodles and left. with the stock 48x16 and 130mm stem I felt like I was doing yoga+pedaling underwater.

Knee's are killing me in class.

Agreed; me driving my wife's car instead of biking to work actually saved my butt from a cold, damp, and potentially dangerous bike ride home in the unforcasted rain.

Today I'm getting settled in with my winter beater (the deadeye) Not a bad campus cruiser but I'm ready to switch up the cog. IIRC I'm at 57 g.i. (32x18)which is perfect for trails but sucks for pretty much everything else.

But real, congrats. Mad horse legs. And to think, just about to start trimming the fats and losing the powers.

How are you liking it? I've been considering the Bullseye (same bike, except with discs as far as I can tell) for a winter/foul weather ride.

Today I rode into work despite a few days off. Chucks suck when it's a little cold out.

I've enjoyed it so far. Mine is essentially a bullseye because I put Hayes MX1 Disc brakes on it as soon as it arrived. It's a really heavy bike but it's still pretty fun on singletrack. I got it because I wanted a bike I could leave outside and not worry about having parts stolen from it, I wanted a mtb for the winter, and I liked the simplicity if a singlespeed.

Great job carleton! Any plans for a roller getup that's connected to a generator and batteries for the event of a power outage?
