I rode about 60 miles around Chicago, 40 of which was with ironpuppy13. Booze, bike shops, tacos, Chrome store, and coffee. Good times.

Today I did my sprint work only to discover after my first set that I put a rock through the front tire. Got new tire and got the final two sets in.

NEVAH

anyone have any experience with the winemann Zac-1800s? I think they used to come on the MTT. I'm trying to trade my b43 for a lighter wheel and had this one offered to me. solid trade?

ZAC1800's are pretty baseline and they wouldnt be particularly strong or lightweight. i'd sell the b43's and just build up some open pros/kinlins/aeroheads or whatever.

A good justification to get the MASH stuff if you like it is that it's Capo.

Hey, that's what I'd be banking on. Too bad I only buy cycling clothes from Bonktown :\

Today I realized that I can't afford my house in Cali anymore and I have to move to Idaho next month to shack up with a friend.. I'm super depressed about being frozen and landlocked so I'm drinking sake all alone in candle light, while I contemplate things to sell. At least I can keep both bikes. Hoping that somehow Winter will pass quickly. Oh, I was supposed to go to my LBS to true my new wheels today but I was not at all in the mood. Maybe tomorrow.

for real though, california living expenses SUCK.

I built the kilo again with the original fork. got a haircut too. the cinelli fork is squeaking. don't want to ride on it no mo.

i want a Winter bike. Maybe a SSCX, or a keirin. i don't want my track bikes or my dirt jumper or even my g&t. i mean they're all ****ing awesome but i want something that feels like its mine in a way none of those do.

I know, Capo stuff rules. Normally you get what you pay for in terms of new cycling clothes.

But you already have the Nishiki! And if you feel like you have too many bikes on your hand don't hesitate to let them go...

I had a fork replaced there after a car accident once, and yeah, Curtis is a really cool guy. Did you see the 2nd floor? I hear it's like King Tut's tomb in there.

Thanks for the support. I mean that towards everyone.. Just too lazy to quote you all cause I'm on an iPhone. Please forgive the pity party, by the way. I was drunk and upset and my boyfriend was asleep so I had no one to talk to. XD

Today I tensioned and trued my new front wheel. First time ever using a stand. It's hella fun and helped me to relax and take my mind off things. Wish I could true wheels every day. I can't wait to go back in the morning and work on the rear. Wheelbuilding has been my favorite experience with bike maintenance so far. I still have not installed a headset or bottom bracket, though. Sometimes working on bikes is just as enjoyable as riding them.
