Today I tested out my self-waterproofed jacket in a light rain. Worked well enough. I'm dry.

Today I found out my ticket for running a stop sign on my bike is going to cost $200.
I'm broke and am going to fight the **** out of it because I have to or will eat nothing but ramen for the next few months, but it's so ****ty. I've never had a traffic violation of any sort. Give me a ****ing break, San Francisco. BTW, what will the court costs run you to fight it? |
Trial by written declaration. No court costs, and I'm more likely to win it this way.
The cop also made some errors on my ticket and I can use them to my advantage. |

Today this was published in the school paper:
http://i.imgur.com/RI3kU.jpg If he did even the slightest bit of research he would've known that riding on the sidewalk is more than 20x more dangerous than riding on a street without bike lanes (source: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...walk-bicycling) . Not to mention, Spokane (where this was published) has several arterial roads that don't allow bicycles - hence some cyclists having to merge up to the sidewalk occasionally. |
At least Ashley Antunes did a hell of a job on that illustration.
|
Today I got a second job interview at the tacobell / carls Jr on campus. Bike partsssssss...
|
damn, you need two interviews to get a job at ****ing taco bell? it's tough out there
|
Haha, yo I was the same way. I got a call and got interviewed on campus. And lady was like "Ok sounds like I'll give you an interview at carls jr and taco bell."
fuuuuuu How do you even work those registers. Never worked fast food or much of retail. |

I can't recall ever seeing anyone over the age of 5 doing it, in fact. |
Exactly, ever since the author was a kid he was told to ride on the sidewalk, that **** is universal knowledge.
I ride on the sidewalk sometimes actually. There are some places in Seattle where it is necessary, unless you like to risk a cheese grater to the face! |
Today I built my first wheel

The cop also made some errors on my ticket and I can use them to my advantage. Today I went on a 60 mile fixed gear ride that involved climbing the only decent hills in Chicago, seeing a spot where The Blues Brothers was filmed, riding by Louis Farrakhan's house, getting harassed by Secret Service for trying to take a picture of Barack Obama's house, seeing a bunch of stuff from the 1893 Columbian Exposition, riding by the former site of H. H. Holmes' murder mansion (it's now a Post Office.) drinking a pint of Zombie Dust, and getting a shard of glass in my tire. All in all, it was a good, yet tiring day. |
Today i found a Fuji Allegro at the local dump.Triple butted Valite,Nitto stem and bar, sugino crank and seatpost, suntour shifters and my size.Paint is a bit rough but the rest should clean up nicely.I guess there's always room for one more bike.

Today I got in 78 miles.

Today I had the usual class, band, boredom, nothingness. Went to the local coffee shop for open mic night a few friends were playing, had some good times and good drinks.
|

Today I just hit the lotto.
