Today I: Went to class, ate first lunch, rode to Philly's Performance shop. Surprisingly, all the guys I met there were really cool and friendly. I locked up outside and was reminded a few times that I could bring my bike inside. The staff were helpful even though I was just browsing. Ended up buying a set of tires for my road bike on sale for $20 each. After that, rode to my honest locally owned and promoted shop to browse. Saw a handlebar I wanted hanging on a bike on the wall. Asked if they had anything similar lying around. Wound up getting the same bar ordered for me, to arrive this week, at a nice discount. Went to work. Went to co-workers going away bash. Rode home. Got inside just before 4:00. Ride home was rough and sweet.

Painfully average.

Damn, didn't notice last night because it was so dark, but my front wheel is severely out of true! Time to buy some tools!

Today I realized I had fallen asleep at the desk grading and totally overslept and ended up missing my first two sections and decided to cancel them all with a lie that I'm feeling under the weather. I was woken up by a call from the apple store that my wife's mac is ready; it's funny how a genius asks for such and such; then say your computer is ready, and hang up on you before a response or good bye from you. Worse is I realized I had drooled over this person's paper, I'm going to say I lost it or spill coffee all over it and cover up my mess. I'm like totally the best TA evar!

Today: I saw Bane. Got into a fight with a sXe jackoff that didn't think I should have been drinking while his friend's ****ty XsXeXhXcX band was playing. I hate fighting, but when you knock my beer out of my hand and scream "what are you gonna do about it you alcoholic ******" into my face, you're gonna get hit. Hard. And repeatedly. Bane was awesome though. Scrod, message delivered. Aaron says he needs to hang out with you more often.
Outside of the venue, right after the fight, two guys were locking bikes next to mine while mocking my (mostly stock) Lager. I was gonna say something, but I had just gotten into a fight and I was still pretty amped up from that so I let it go. Funny thing is that these guys had the tarckiest, most jackass builds I've ever seen. Leader 735 and MASH, both with B43s, cut down risers with no grips or plugs, stubby stems, no brakes and platforms with no straps. At least my bike is functional. ********. Now it's time to go drink more! Yay!

Today I went to my LBS to figure out what to replace my recently-stolen Kilo TT with, and think I settled on a 2011 Felt Brougham. I think the mismatched rims/tires on the "raw" color are hideous, but after what I'd pay for assembly of the TT (I'm not worth a damn with tools), and a 15% off deal on the Felt due to it being a 2011 model, the 2 bikes are pretty similar in price. Hopefully taking the plunge tomorrow.
Can't wait to get on a bike again!

I think it was $30 or $40? Definitely not horrible, but I also needed to buy a freewheel, which I believe the Brougham comes with.
EDIT: just looked through my old emails with the dude, and it was $55 for assembly from the box.

Wait, what? I was accepting the compliment. The comment about ideals was me thinking about the dude last night, not you. I don't give a **** what people do with their lives, as long as it isn't forced on me. I'm all for nostalgia and compliments. I didn't mean to offend.

Sometimes my smartass sensors go down. This was one of those times.
Hardcore kids that just love the music vs. straight edge (no drugs including alcohol, nicotine, and in some cases caffeine and medicines) kids that like the music but have a sense of superiority because, in their words, their judgement isn't clouded by chemicals.

Still kicking.
Today I got the rear wheel repaired and went for a road ride.

God, I haven't seen any hXc or sXe kids in forever, since I stopped hanging out in that scene a long while ago, miss the shows, though.
