Today I'm working on my class schedule for next semester. So close to getting rid of all these stupid gen-eds! Why must I be taking finger painting and famous African American Jewish Writers of the mid 16th century for degrees in accounting and business management.

My X120e, 2x4GB RAM sticks, and SSD came in today, woo woo.

Now, only if live booting from a USB would stop being a *****, can I do anything, don't want to use Windows. ;_;

I'm going to have to purchase a screwdriver for my laptop as well, stupid screws won't come out from the HDD cage, so I can't put in the SSD.

Thinkpads are awesome, the suit and tie macs of PC's. I'm mooching my wife's company issued T420s since she uses her own. Looks really deceive as far as sheer power and reliability goes.

Because those two G.E. classes met the requirements for your degree and fit into your schedule?

Edit: "famous African American Jewish Writers of the mid 16th century" <-- Tell me you're joking. This is a real class?

The same reason I'm taking Children's Literature for a degree in engineering.

Yeah, I have to use one for work, a X61. Despite it being bogged down with government security software which makes it sloooooow as fuark, I like the design, as well as they are built like tanks from all the incidents I have seen. First time I have ever owned one personally, decided to buy it because I have an Asus G73 (which I thought was a good idea at the time), but I can't take it with me anywhere, unless I'm going for an extended stay, so it kind of sucks.

My whole plan with buying it was just to install a Linux distro right away, then **** around on it, use it for my on-the-go laptop, as well as go back to learning some programming languages.

The G73 is a great gaming laptop or should I say desktop replacement; a close buddy of mine down here has one. Performance and reliability is on par with alienware and such while at a down to earth, affordable by everyone, bargain bin price.
I find it very ironic nonetheless that they even bother to include a measly battery with it; you know what I mean, that little puny brick that goes in-between the exhaust vents in the back.

I was joking about the course titles but I go to a small university so it's really hard to get GE's that don't interrupt my schedule. There are so few courses that most the time you get stuck taking what you can get as far as gen eds go.

I built two new wheels for my touring bike and finally got this thing really rolling with a bunch of new stuff. Oddly the front wheel gave me more trouble than the rear one.

Today I went to band practice, wrote two songs, rode home through Chicago's famous hills aka stupidly strong wind. 20 mph headwind gusting to 40, riding along a beach so the wind is blowing sand at me... **** sucks. Then I took care of my sick wife.

Today I went out with friends, went to Metro to see We Were Promised Jetpacks, then tried to go sing karaoke but it was too late to get a song in before last call. Then I had ethical dilemmas/ wtf issues that I talked about with friends and now I am home feeling like an *******.

Haha.. I remember a few years back, I had the Asus G1. That thing was awesome until I had to send it in twice due to a screen failure.

I was thinking about getting another Asus gaming laptop, but then decided to spend all my money on bike stuff.

How was the show? Come do karaoke with me at the Oasis Sunday.

Tonight, it's off to the co-op I go. Time to true some rims and see about fixing a pedal.

Sucks dude. I'm starting my new gig (finally!) on Monday after not working since September. **** sucks man. On the one hand though, you can think of it as an unexpected vacation.

https://youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=WlBiLNN1NhQ For some reason video embeds never work on my phone, and my internet is out. Just watch it.

Yeah, kinda sucks. I feel bad for my supervisor that has a family, and has been with the company for 12+ years. He got let go with no warning. The new bike gives me something to do though.
