saw the doc!

Severely strained (or, I think mildly and partially torn) MCL. be fine with just rest and knee excercise. also mildly Strained ACL but not bad as far as he can tell. no meniscus damage.

good news: no surgery. i should heal just by taking it easy, ibuprofen and brace and little pt excercising and if in a week it's not better (even slightly) then i'll think about imaging and see what's exactly going on... but for now, doc said i was good to go just need to heal up!

still can't walk still have super limited range of motion but it's looking like three weeks and i'll be able to try to get going again. no bikes for three weeks but that's way better than three months, so i'm stoked.

I actually find it quite funny that he admits that he's the creator of the shirt and you say he's "probably" a shill. loll

Would buy though if it's under 15 bucks.

This is great news. If you get PT, keep up with the exercises. That was my downfall, I think, and it meant I had a weak knee for years.

homebrewk 01-26-12 05:16 PM

Yeah! That's great news cc.

hamfoh 01-26-12 07:33 PM

today I got my rack in and started to install it based purely on where it looks like things go. Not sure if I'm going to be able to get that lever that attaches behind the brake caliber to fit. too tired to play with tiny screws anymore.

Xgecko 01-26-12 07:54 PM

I de-spoked my front wheel so I can lace it to a new rim tomorrow

Scrodzilla 01-26-12 08:02 PM

So you can't?

auto complete hell. Serves me right for posting on a Tablet instead of the computer in front of me. Seriously though I am looking forward to lacing up a new front wheel

Nah, Romney pays taxes, just not as much as his secretary.

I disassembled a Chris King rear disk hub. Holy crap these things are over engineered. Very porn though

Then, I opened a DT 350 hub. Very simple and elegant inside

cc700 01-26-12 09:29 PM

god i want one.

hairnet 01-26-12 09:34 PM

If i were racing cx like you I would only use the DT 350 on my rear wheels. It takes nothing to open and the simple mechanism inside makes it extremely easy to clean out reassemble

Today I went to this store full of BEER:

tonite i http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly...w76ao1_500.jpg (its not as bad as i once thought)

Stezzy 01-26-12 11:28 PM

today I got my RB-002 and wrapped them, i also learned that i suck at getting the left over tape into the end under the caps.

Sherblock 01-26-12 11:28 PM

I like the english real ales. Can't buy them here though :(

I don't care for the high alcohol/carbonation. Probably still won't when I can drink them legally either.

jdgesus 01-26-12 11:32 PM

i love high carbonation in a beer.
but when i was your age, i only liked schnapps or goldschlager

yummygooey 01-26-12 11:36 PM

I basically went from hating beer to loving it overnight (when I turned 21). Amazing! Tastes are still continually evolving, which makes trying new stuff even more fun.

At the moment, I am all over porters and stouts.

Nagrom_ 01-26-12 11:41 PM

got my return check from my scholarships/grants after my tuition was paid. $96!!! HOOZAH!!!!

amidoinitrite?

also, downloaded all of my textbooks so i don't need to buy any, so that 96 bucks is going straight into my bike... lol

All we have is stuff like Pliny and dog fish head. Somehow, through family (and a little bit of you guys) I've been conditioned to not drink miller, etc.

Not because drinking = bad, but because all the beer guys make fun of them. I don't want to associate my self with that

yummygooey 01-27-12 12:06 AM

Had High Life with wings yesterday. Perfect pairing.

Sherblock 01-27-12 12:09 AM
