Amazon, sucka. There are a whole lot more accessory packs than what that guy's got available, but they're impossible to find outside Japan. I'd give my left nut to be able to find an importer...

Also, finger track stands rule. Also also, here's all the crap I wish I could get.

Today I saw a man walking into the mall at 4am with a White Castle Crave Case to wait on line for new Jordans.

I'd be selling sliders for $1.50 apiece to help finance the shoes.

I sent in my first gen 4gb iPod nano awhile back under Apple's replacement program, and today I got back a current gen 8gb nano. Yay!

today my gf unlocked her bike from the rack at the grocery store and it fell over because she wasn't paying attention (could happen to anyone). what was o_O was the sizeable dent it made in her top tube... I felt bad for her. I've dropped my past bikes and had them blown/knocked over 100 times and I've never had one like that. first time she drops her and it caves in a bit.

it was absolutely -dead- in my office and it was my day to man the phones. about halfway through "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". hope it picks up, so far it's nothing special/don't get the hype. but, wanted to read it before checking out the Swedish, then American films.

finally got my headset remover, so it's -on- for my week -off-. changing forks/wheels on the 725, then frameswapping in the 722 frame on the random parts bike.

Today I made two icebox cakes. If you don't know what an icebox cake is then I feel very sorry for you. It is the best seasonal dessert ever.

It is always either when you dont have your camera gear with you, or your contact lenses in. I was walking my gf to her car so she could go to work and she looked over my shoulder after we kissed. And there was Santa Clause carrying a full bag walking down the other side of the street past us.

Went to Hobby Lobby and got my wife a sketch book, canvas, and a complete set of paints w/brushes in a small storage cabinet. Went to Honeybaked Ham and picked up some goodies on the gift card from where I work. Then I went on mapmyride.com and mapped out a 105 mi ride I'm going to do tomorrow on my fg. If I'm still alive I'll post back. 100km is my longest, so far. Now I'm drinking a Blackstone Nut Brown Ale and typing this post.

Today I:

Joined the lovely Strava and Rapha Cycle Club on their Festive 500 kickoff ride to Pt. Reyes. Beautiful ride with only one smallish hiccup:

I went into the convenience store in Pt. Reyes and when I came out, everyone was gone haha. They thought I was with them until it was too late. They made a right turn to a climb I wasn't familiar with and I just kept going straight (trying to catch them so hammering away). Ended up riding about 40mi solo until I met up with a couple of them in Sausalito. All in all, not bad.

I climbed up Mt. Tam solo and after the first part of the descent snapped some photos:

Pano attached for full size clickyness.

Today was my second time making pierogi this season (two fillings: farmers cheese, and sauerkraut+mushroom). Result: 4.5 hours, 65 pierogi, and aching back, knees, and feet. But I'm having 18 people over for Friendsmas on Sunday and it will all be worth it.

Not much to do today, so I did that huge overhall cleaning of my bike I have been putting off. I now know what a clean chain looks like again!

Oh yeah, I gave my fg a good cleaning in anticipation of the ride tomorrow. Really concentrated on the drivetrain. Lubed the brake levers and pivot points of the calipers, too.

Drummerboy1975 12-23-11 08:58 PM

Today I made some bullhorns for my Fuji.

I went Xmas shopping after work. Nightmare fuel. Then I wrapped presents while listening to Wu-Tang. Awesome. Now to make tons of food for Xmas.

Jaytron 12-23-11 09:44 PM

Today I had some wine and home made zucchini bread with a complete stranger on the train home. There may be hope for humanity yet.
