pretty much, catch the 500am bart train and get to school at 615, due to the lack of commute traffic. yet, you catch the very next train, which makes you miss that same bus, and you get there at 745am due to the abhorrent amounts of ****ing traffic.

we need a bike only freeway from sac to san jose amiright? =>
then another one from stinson beach to san jose.
then san jose to LA.

muckymucky 02-15-12 05:30 PM

let's be the first to do it in america. then we can call it BIKEWAY 1. and in 10 years bikeway will be a verb.

Nagrom_ 02-15-12 05:34 PM

or we could start with more bike lanes?

lol... but in all seriousness, i could bike there in the same amount of time, if there were no stop lights and and it was a straight shot, haha

Today my stem came in the mail so I wrapped my bars and put them on my bike.

red/blue lines: where a non-setback seatpost would be relative to the saddle rails
orange line: where usable rails end at front
green line: length to end of rails relative to non-setback seatpost

carnita burrito, 100 pushups, 30min fast ride on the rollers.

was called on the carpet today to be told that i'm the #1 pick for the hostage negotiation team. but i still have complete the two week academy in May. 24/7 random mess with you/stress you out/push your buttons/try and get you to snap. heh, bring it, the state can't possibly torture me to the degree my fraternity did to get in..... :)

yummygooey 02-15-12 07:03 PM

Flites have short, awkwardly placed rails. I maintain that they do not belong on zero setback seatposts unless they're slammed all the way back.

I don't really see what's so fancy about it. Looks like a typical 1 1/8 stem to me. A carbon front plate does not really add anything.

I love FSA headsets though.

Today I looked in my closet and found at least $500 worth of things I have no attachment to.

I also fell in love with the vigorelli again <3

vig 4 me?

hairnet 02-15-12 07:37 PM

Am I the only one that feels weird looking at a track bike with knobby tires?

Sherblock 02-15-12 07:49 PM

It's definitely weird, but I have a strange attraction to that bike.

PluperfectArson 02-15-12 07:51 PM

I feel like I have seen that same bike a long time ago or a similar Vig set up like that, and I love the hell out of it every time.

no

PlattsVegas 02-15-12 08:04 PM

Honestly, I do not understand the attraction to cinelli. Especially ones that are not ridden on the track. Actually any track bike ridden off the track, for purposes other than training, baffles me. A track bike with knobby tires? That would be the wrong geometry for anything ridden where knobby tires are necessary. But if you ONLY had a track bike, and switched wheels/cog/chain for different terrain I suppose I could jive with that.

I'm amazed those tires even fit

Today sucked.

Carbon faceplates make things fancy. I'm sure of it.

Darn weather... I'm experiencing what you guys in norcal did earlier this week. Seriously, today what began as a sunny and warm day turned into a rainstorm. Adding insult to injury it let up temporarily when I got back. Tomorrow is going to be no better.

Sherblock 02-15-12 09:02 PM

It's super super windy here. Sucks. I wish we had more rain in NorCal.

jdgesus 02-15-12 09:04 PM

My roommate just gave me two bottles of scotch, one Glenlivet, one Dalwhinnie.

I have never had Dalwhinnie, but I ****ing love Glenlivet.

jdgesus 02-15-12 09:25 PM

Today I:

Woke up in South Lake Tahoe to this:

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-u...215_091139.jpg

Drove to get a rental board (I am buying my own at the end of the season). Friend/coworker in the pic:

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-I...215_092830.jpg

The snow was AMAZING. Unfortunately, the visibility wasn't. Group pic (me, friend/coworker, brother; from left to right)

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-4...215_134250.jpg

This was at the base of the run, where visibility was GOOD:

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0...215_134307.jpg

Seriously it was like a white-out on most of the runs after about 12pm.

Tomorrow should be much more clear, with the same quality snow :D WOOT!

Sherblock 02-15-12 09:41 PM

What resort? Northstar?

Jaytron 02-15-12 09:43 PM

Today I was sad because my tax return never came in. Blasted IRS.

I would kill a small child to ride that powder. **** you and your WRX wagon (yellow is my favorite color, and WRX wagons are my favorite car), and your incredible snowfall. I am jealous.
