Worked a closing shift to help pay for all the bike **** I've been buying. Getting pretty close to winning my frame on ebay as well :)

I think it's the jaw line.

Today I sat down in le coffee shop to do homework and thought to myself "I'll probably just end up on bikeforums for an hour before I start my homework." Fast forward an hour to now. Checked the syllabus and I don't have any homework!!

Today I continued to wait patiently for all my Track Friday purchases. Damn, shipping, why you take so long?

Dannihilator 11-29-11 07:26 PM

Today I had a good road ride, managed to time it just right and wasn't rained on.

Robofunc 11-30-11 02:38 PM

Put a new cartridge BB in my Miyata and pieced together a loose ball BB for the '74 Peugeot townie project (French cups, Japanese (probably) spindle). Good to go.

I'm in the same boat. All I need is my All-City clips and I get get my pedals set up!

hairnet 11-30-11 03:05 PM

I got one step closer to tipping my bike over the 100lb line when I went out for groceries. I will just go buy cases of beer next time, water is heavy

jimmytango 11-30-11 05:28 PM

Today I used a pressure washer outside in they shade in 25 degree weather, because our pizza ovens needed to be cleaned. As a reward for heaving the cold, my boss took the crew to Hot Doug's (best hot dogs/sausages in the ****ing world). Then I came home, napped, and had a fight with my wife about something ridiculous. Later, karaoke and drinking the pain away...

Jaytron 11-30-11 05:32 PM

Today my Leader 722ts came in.... sorta...

No gold, so it came in black, and it's sitting in Jandro's office because I didn't have it delivered to my house (nobody to sign for it). He lives in the city and works in the south bay, while I live in the south bay and work in the city. lolz.

I thought they were ok... Interesting flavors. I was less than impressed by the duck fat fries.

I'm not sure I would wait in that line again, though (and I got there before it even opened).

striknein 11-30-11 05:47 PM

Went to the army surplus store and bought a new camp stove setup.

Hopefully I can get out next week and test it out.

LesterOfPuppets 11-30-11 06:08 PM

Izzat fuel in the pouch?

yummygooey 11-30-11 06:22 PM

Today I finished welding up the tall bike I made for one of my class projects.

Then I added a bunch of effects to Careless Whisper by George Michael for another project.

Lol college.

EpicSchwinn 11-30-11 06:37 PM

Today I returned the scumbag luggage scale that told me my bike was fat. I'm sticking to what my LBS's scale said and not counting what that plastic piece of poop $20 TJmaxx scale says.

The obvious answer, here, is to move to the city.

I meant to post this yesterday (so pretend it's yesterday).
Today I:
Had the product I manage launch to the public!

WOOOHOOOO!

For the lazy:

LesterOfPuppets 11-30-11 06:48 PM

Nice! Will that auto update on my Droid or do I have to manually install?

It should autoupdate if you checked the "Automatically update this app" box under "Manage Applications" on your phone. Otherwise you will get a notification to update manually from the Marketplace.

LesterOfPuppets 11-30-11 06:56 PM

I've had it in airplane mode since 4:30 yesterday, so I reckon I'll just wait for it to check for updates and do its thang.

Imagine someday soon if/when it gets really granular and has the library fully mapped out with the Dewey decimal ranges of each shelf, crazy stuff like that.

Our library's materials all have RF tags so it could conceivably get even crazier than that in the future.

Yeah, I make better duck fat fries than he does. There's a trick to it that I'm not gonna share haha.

As far as the line, I'll just say that being in the restaurant industry has it's perks. One of them is that the phrase "wait in line" often doesn't apply.

I like the duck fat fries better than the regular ones, because they're thinner/crispier.

I've never found the line at Hot Doug's to be all that bad. They move people through there quite quickly. Better than the wait at Kuma's, any day.

yummygooey 11-30-11 07:05 PM

Kuma's wait is horrrible. I think we waited 2.5 hours for a table of 5.

But that garlic mayo!!!

I've only had his duck fat fries when they're kind of soggy, like the oil wasn't hot enough. Kuma's is one of very few places that I know people and still can't skip the line. It kind of makes me respect them more. However, the food there has gone downhill a lot. It makes me sad.

Dannihilator 11-30-11 08:40 PM

Today I had a good street session.

xavier853 11-30-11 09:14 PM

today I saw some bubba on campus ridding an eddy merckx. It was totally TRASHED. I felt so bad...

GMJ 11-30-11 09:53 PM

Got outbid on my frame :(

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...torefresh=true

I was at work when it ended. Held it for four days and than ******* mc**** comes in and swoops 20 minutes before it ended.

LesterOfPuppets 11-30-11 09:55 PM

eBay auctions are like basketball games to me. Only the last couple of minutes are worth watching.

Yeah, it's trioxene solid fuel. One pouch is good for 3 15 minute fires. People normally use Esbit fuel tablets, but I happened to find it on the shelves and it was cheap (2 pouches for $2.50).

GMJ 11-30-11 10:00 PM

Yeah definitely, and I'm glad I didn't locked in a shootout. $400 was about as high as could/wanted to go.

Sucks though. I was really getting psyched on that thing.

J.Wolfe 11-30-11 10:01 PM

put on my new Tange fork today at work. Oh the perks for getting payed while working on your own bike lol :)
