Today I can proudly say that I ate **** because of some idiot on one of these:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...PL._AA300_.jpg

When I got up he doesn't even bother asking me if I was alright and goes on a tirade blasting that I don't have control while his the one on a "ripstik" (it's a fad toy skateboard with ONLY 2 wheels & the middle of it has a pivot which any person would common sense would not ride).
I don't know how but his ripstik hit my rear wheel and got under it. I basically put the last words by complimenting how nice his ripstick was and how his a genius and totally heterosexual for choosing that as a mode of transportation.
And oh yeah, worse comes to worse is when I'll have to call my wife for a ride home as my new phil to veep rear is toast. Shortest lived wheel ever in my books.

Rip stick is a fun time. Bummer about the crash.

She shaved it a couple years before meeting me. It's funny how male she looks bald

took advantage of the beautiful weather and got about 35 miles in with some sprint interval training as the track was still wet, damn! I need to get a bigger chainring, 85 gear inch isnt cutting it anymore (although hills can be a bit strenuous)

Woah man, 85 GI...you must be a beast. I run almost 20 GI lower than that around here with all these steep ass hills.

Today I had to walk in the rain to go get my ID from the co op I left it at last night while finished up my fixed gear bike.

Yesterday I finished it by adding a front brake. Then at 9pm I rode to taco bell and bought a 12 taco box for myself because of a craving I had. To say the least, that was the most fun I've had riding a bike. This is my first fixed gear and I have to say its exhilarating. It's a shame I put the front brake on, I didn't use it at all over the course of my 2 mile ride. I'm still trying to figure out how to skid...but idk if I'll even be able to do it with the 46-16 I have on there.

The day before that I slapped together ever part of my bike from BB to new tires.

And I'm super upset right now. It's raining in the bay area and I can't ride. But I think I'm going to tomorrow anyway. Cheers

Today I threw the mtb around for awhile.

Is mucky going also? It's pouring here in SF so I assumed it'd be too wet for tomorrow.

Put on my geek hat and tweaked out the old PC a little bit more before it gets relegated to shop duty... nephew has a P5K Hackintosh with 8GB Ram, 1 TB drive, Blue Ray, and butt kicking video that he is giving me since it is a little slow for what he needs to do.

Just need to pick up a decent sound card for it.

Because it is.... Core 2 was ages ago for me... I'm already on my 2nd Intel Core iX series chip... the generational performance difference is massive BTW comparing any iX series chip to a C2Q/D. Nonetheless if you aren't doing much, it's more than enough for you.

Soundcard? Asus Xonar ;)

idk, I'm on the sj/milpitas border and we're getting some crazy ass storms atm.

Today I am happy that I am one day closer to a healed knee and riding again

Booo.

:innocent: :D

Today I got my wheels tried (finally) and worked. I, unfortunately, missed the baldening of Misskaz. I saw pics though. She rocks it, and doesn't look the least bit like Sinead O'Connor or GI Jane...

His main machine is off the scale fast... he does massive amounts of video editing and runs 24 gigs of ram and state of the art everything.

I just surf the web, do a lot of image editing, and watch netflix and movies... if you aren't doing a lot of hard core online gaming or video work you really don't need that much and think gaming is what has really driven technology forward as lots of these require some massive power.

My earliest experiences with computers started with tape drives, had one of the early generation Macs when 2 megs of ram and 100 megs of external hard drive was the sweetest ride on the block and cost you over $3500.00.

:)

My old desktop machine, from which I now do a lot of work is a 10 year old P1 with a whopping gig of ram running XP... will upgrade the OS to Windows 7 and see if I can't find a P3 chipset for the board to make it a more capable shop computer.

WOW. You're going from turtle to apollo saturn rocket speed here. Better buckle up. No lie.

Wait a minute before you go running off and picking up one of these potentially pricey cards; what speakers are you planning to hook up to the machine? I have to ask this as considering you're coming off of a PI machine, onboard audio has come a LONG way since that time. If you're just going to be using your old run of the mill desktop stereo speakers/ headphones and no plans of expanding to surround audio, than there's absolutely no need. The performance is parallel in that aspect.

I hate it when my friends insist on buying blu rays for the better quality then run it through the tv's speakers. It always sounds horrible.

Finished my first week of 8-hour shifts. Managed to score a half-hour of overtime too. I took my wife to our favorite sushi joint, went way off-kilter with our menu choices, and ended up with a TERRIBLE meal.

My new brakes arrived for the road bike, so I finally got a chance to button everything up. It's taken me a bit of time to acclimate to adjusting derailleurs, but I think I'm really starting to get the hang of it. I really need a repair stand though.

Ending my night with a Sopranos marathon. Halfway through season one, I love it.

These are the guys that buy beats by dres to listen to youtube rips. I never buy blue rays... I have other means.... geee internet so fast and massive storage space... I can easily source film reels  ;) ;).
