They're motorcycle gloves I think... at least that's where the concept came from anyhow if they were made intentionally for bikers.

Heh page 420.... Heh...

Now, now, we all know NJS & carbon fiber do not mix. :p
Cool stuff nonetheless, I was gawking at my bro in - law's oakley ones when he rode up to my house here in his shiny new ducati earlier this year. Anyhow I had some ideas too [yup I'm a sucker for carbon fiber] but I ended up deciding they're a tad bit too on the bulky side for me for cycling gloves. |

I used those for a few months in 2009. The wrist strap tears up pretty easy from normal use. I like baseball batting gloves for everyday use. Golf gloves for special occasions.

A friend of mine was riding his bike tonight and got hit by a drunk driver. His mom thinks the funeral will be Wednesday. I'm super sad. **** today. Seriously. **** everything about today.
|
:(
happened to me 3 years ago. There's a huge ride tonight and I have been trying to get some group together so I don't have to ride out to the start alone |

At this time??? I think the timing with bars closing is really bad... a tragedy waiting to happen. Bicycle lights? A drunk person might even perceive to drive toward it.

riding the closed course for the LA marathon at around 4am. So far I have four people, if I didn't have anybody then I would not go.

Man that is harsh. Sorry to hear JT.
I keep hearing stories like that and I'm never gonna hit the road between 9pm and 4am on Fri/Sat nights again. I reckon St. Patty's day requires a longer window. RIP fellow rider. |
It was gooooood ride. LA is so nice when there aren't any cars. 0 sleep and 3 hours until I have to open shop at Bikerowave. Very few cars passed me on the way there last night, that was a relief. That and joining a large group going to the same place

I reckon St. Patty's day requires a longer window. It turned out to be fine, but the fact that we were given this advice at all certainly made the locals look good. |
Today I've been looking long and hard at road bikes. I don't want to spend a lot because I'll really only use it on really long rides (see sig) or when riding with roadies, but I don't want to buy a piece of crap just because its cheap. Hopefully something pops up used.
was eyeballing this cross bike so I could use for multiple things afterwards. seems like a decent deal as I think I've seen it on bonktown for 995. hopefully something good pops up for $300 around town though :D http://s3.backcountry.com/900/FJI/FJ...FJI0008-BK.jpg |
Riding with roadies using a 46/36, 32c knobs and cyclocross geo?
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly...so2_r1_250.gif I know cross bikes are the new fixed gear but if you want a road bike, buy a road bike. Not a cross bike. |
