Stopped at the bike shop. The gloves I had ordered for my girlfriend had not arrived. But I bought some tires and they gave me some used tires (with some life in them, Conti GP's) for free. Bummed that its raining here.

RGNY 03-23-12 12:25 PM

my buddy's coworker used to own a bike shop and heard i was interested in a CX build (new commute is on the upper edge of our valley, out on one of the county routes).

says he's got a NOS Bianchi CX frame/fork in his shed i can -have-. in celeste.

he just has to check the size. as long as long as it's between 56 and 58, there will be squeeing and groveling...

then the real work starts. i haven't touched a derailleur since the mid-80's.

New tire! Yay! Ended up with an Armadillo because I needed it for my commute and that's the only puncture-resistant road tire they have.

today I got my new saddle

Get it dialed in before going 20 miles on it. Trust me.

striknein 03-23-12 06:00 PM

New frame! New fork! No money!

adriano 03-23-12 07:52 PM

dos saddle is way too forward for a frame that size.

Today the 'creator' of our friday ride wanted to lead again, of course he had something to prove and lead the thing like he was auditioning for Mash SF. I stopped at a light that was just "not worth it" for me and lost sight of them by the time it turned green. My friend and I rode another 5 miles or so before pulling over to see if we could figure out the destination, turns out there was a good 15 people behind us who finally caught up by the time we were ready to roll out again. I wanted to ***** about it, but nobody else was complaining so I resisted stirring **** up. I was so annoyed. I have a court date for a red light ticket next saturday and I ran a good 10-12 lights tonight.

I got the location, lead the rest of the group there and stopped for drinks. Rode back into my side of town with the group and then split off near my house to get on bike forums and cry about it

I should've but it was last second. I guess I did okay, no complaints.

Felt a little "warm" at first, I guess from that suede like material. I already prefer it to the rolls, which is basically my least favorite selle san marco yet.

I just found out a I had lost 20 lbs from the end of January. I dont feel very different though...

Nagrom_ 03-23-12 09:20 PM

All you bastards jinxed me.
Today I got sqrl'd. Not the good kind of getting sqrl'd either.

IMO, it looks like the only guy with a properly fitting bike

LesterOfPuppets 03-23-12 09:35 PM

Cinelli dude in back looks comfy too. Rest of them are locked elbow posse.

hamfoh 03-23-12 10:20 PM

He definitely looks the most comfortable, but considering his stem is already slammed, seems like he could be pretty cramped if he decided to get low

adriano 03-23-12 10:28 PM

that wolfpack crash race looked awesome.

LesterOfPuppets 03-23-12 10:33 PM

Today I found the moss cylinder.

Oh . . .

Oh god.

I don't think I'd be interested in pictures in this case.

Yeah... it wasnt too pretty.
I've learned you have to ride right at them, cause if you do the logical thing, and dodge them, they do the illogical thing, and jump at your spokes.

In this case, they double teamed me. I went between them, and they both jumped the wrong direction... one was just a little more unlucky...

I felt/feel pretty bad oddly enough. What if he had sqrl family? What if that was his sqrl sqrl, and she just watched him lose his head?

aw man. rough life of a squirrel.
