Was jealous of everyone riding out in the nice weather as I walked. Injury has me off the bike for 3 months. Halfway there. Getting fat (er) and slow (er) every minute.

I'm so confused. Aren't you one of two or three regular posters that are around 15/16 years old?

Today I gave a lot of money to the IRS. Damn quarterly taxes.
The news said you had a heatwave going on over there. People droppin' out of the marathon and all that. |

Awesome work Jay.
I found out last year my thyroid took a **** (gogo being 35+) and after getting meds to give me a metabolism back, I went from 285 back down to 170. I'm sitting at 184 but beir is gross gut. doing about 45 miles of riding tomorrow as I build up for this May event I'm in. I'm riding to the charity ride, then riding in the charity ride, then riding home from the charity ride on May 8th. Total mileage will only be 58 miles - but we typically have 30 mph winds off the coast during this event. 85 percent of the ride is into the wind as we move toward the Gulf of Mexico. |

Today I broke a chain about 19 miles into a 22 mile ride, so that makes a 3 mile walk. The chain has only about 1500 miles on it. Get a new one or just replace the busted link?
Also: brakes are good things. Also: Awesome Jaytron!

Awesome work Jaytron. Now if I could only get my dad riding his bike...
Proof, if one link failed, I would think that the chain as a whole is pretty weakened. It might be worth it to replace for peace of mind alone... I'm on day two of my latest attempt to quit smoking cigarettes. My plan is to not buy packs, and just bum periodically. I can't go cold turkey, or I'll relapse too fast. Going from a pack a day to ~3 a day has been brutal, but I can already feel the difference in my riding.

Today I came across a picture of me from May 2011. I was grossed out. One on the right was taken yesterday for comparison.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...42136926_n.jpg @fakefuji - possibly interested fo sho. I was hoping to have it by the ride on saturday but I've gotta turn my bike in by friday so it's impossible, for now I'm going to roll with the 27.2 and see if it's an issue |
oh and today I actually got to confront someone who honked at me and didn't get to speed away before being caught by a light
was pretty uneventuful. I had already committed when I saw him stop, he was a bro on the way to or from the gym. tough guy in Lexus honks at me and doesn't make it through the light. I signal at him through the window to roll it down, he does. me: I have as much of a right to this lane as you (there were even two mfing lanes!) him: *silent shrug* me: that was really uncalled for. totally unnecessary.. man him: *silent shrug -- rolls up window* |

was pretty uneventuful. I had already committed when I saw him stop, he was a bro on the way to or from the gym. But sometimes I'll be enraged, catchup with the honking angry person(s), only to find that there are 4 scary gangster looking dudes in the car, and me and my lone self in spandex. |
yeah the only time I'm pissed enough to flip the bird or anything is usually on the way home at 5:30 in the afternoon. any other time I just wave or clap sarcastically
|
Sup JB.
Uneventful, at least cycling-wise. Missing SW8F IXAY lyfe. Mostly being lazy. |
Today I decided I'm going to purchase a mission workshop bag tomorrow - the "Sanction", in charcoal.
Going to go there after my ride tomorrow. It will be an awesome day. |
Today I told my boston terrier to go out because he peed on my daughters handbag. He went out like he did hundreds of times, but this time he did not come back. He was always just laying in front of the house under the sunlight... Today he just disappeared...
If i will not find him - it will stay with me till the end of my life.. I would let him pee on every thing in the house... I'm ***moron |
