But I'm probably going to keep playing at least until I'm 21, and age out of drum corps. I wish I had my own tuba, but its not really a big deal seeing as I can borrow one from school still. |
Mellophones sound really good if done right, but I wouldn't want to march one. I like the sound of low brass a lot more.
I ****ing hate sousaphones. The dead weight on your shoulder sucks. We only do one parade the entire season for 4th of July, so drum corps is a lot better in that sense, but 14 hour rehearsal days can be a little much some days. |

Tomorrow is going to be mentally and physically exhausting. Work, beer shopping, a friend's party, seeing some people that I haven't seen since there was a ton of drama, sleep, and then get up and work 14 hours Saturday.

Today i went back to a 16T cog after feeling like i was "too strong" for the 17T i had on there. News flash, i am not. getting my ass KICKED trying to stay on a decent cadence (but, i ill eventually get stronger, so htfu, etc)

Today I ventured off my usual route and turned it into a 20mi fun loop around north LA and Burbank. Long traffic lights be killin' my Strava times though. |
My insulated water bottle froze on my ride today. Too cold. Now I'm headed home from my friend's party. It quickly turned into one of the most awkward experiences of my life. I need whisky, stat.

hopefully this works if not I give up on linking pics. @hairnet yeah I hear ya, I remember you talking about the flex on your fuji. Its going to need a new wheelset and I'll probably just throw that garbage one that came with my kilo, run it fixed till I get some $$. or maybe just get some porteur bars and turn it into a cruiser townie also that MF'er dennis put my full name down on FGG, which blows my mind because I distinctly didnt put it down on my email... edit: I DID IT!! PHOTO UPLOAD ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED |
Today I got my vacation plans locked in for July, stoked.

That rear triangle is crZy
|
Built my first ever rear wheel, and I did a damn good job. Can't wait to get the rest of the bike together!
Although now, I'm starting to miss having access to a professional trying stand. Mine is not nearly as precise as I want. |
Today I rode in the sun.
