The mellophone was my least favorite of the horns I used to play, followed closely by a fiberglass sousaphone, though I generally did not really care for marching band it involved the one thing I really despise parades. Was good at it, but was better with concert and ensemble.

Mellophones sound really good if done right, but I wouldn't want to march one. I like the sound of low brass a lot more.
I ****ing hate sousaphones. The dead weight on your shoulder sucks.
We only do one parade the entire season for 4th of July, so drum corps is a lot better in that sense, but 14 hour rehearsal days can be a little much some days.

Today i went back to a 16T cog after feeling like i was "too strong" for the 17T i had on there. News flash, i am not. getting my ass KICKED trying to stay on a decent cadence (but, i ill eventually get stronger, so htfu, etc)

I actually know how that is. My wife and I are more or less raising a two-year-old that belongs to a single-mother friend. This is going to involve about 40 miles of cycling, and a ****load of potential bull****/drama.

today i started looking at xpedo mforce pedals since they where the ones i had before, is it just me or has the price on these jumped? i picked mine up at a shop no cleats or box for 30 and i had seem them online for like 45-50 around a year ago. Now im seeing prices at 70....even for the chromoly bodied ones i owned.

Don't do it. Big frames are flexy as hell and really arent great as fixed gears. I went through two of them

Today I ventured off my usual route and turned it into a 20mi fun loop around north LA and Burbank. Long traffic lights be killin' my Strava times though.

My insulated water bottle froze on my ride today. Too cold. Now I'm headed home from my friend's party. It quickly turned into one of the most awkward experiences of my life. I need whisky, stat.

@hairnet yeah I hear ya, I remember you talking about the flex on your fuji. Its going to need a new wheelset and I'll probably just throw that garbage one that came with my kilo, run it fixed till I get some $$. or maybe just get some porteur bars and turn it into a cruiser townie
