Today I realized that after my move to a new apt this weekend, I will have moved 11 times in 10 years. I don't really recommend it.

Moved twice this summer, sucks so bad. Not again for at least 5 years.. hopefully.

Today I drove the big ass truck to work. a high of -24C is just too damn cold to ride.

You dudes are hilarious with trying to solve my mac mini dilemma. My entire twitter feed last night was the same thing and then my boyfriend (who is an Expert at an Apple Store) basically insisted that he's gonna buy me an Apple TV tomorrow. And I'm gonna borrow a PS2 from him or another friend for DVD playing. Plus I get to play Katamari Damacy, so win-win!

Lol. Katamari rules. Most random game ever

At least that way you don't have a whole lot of extra **** just hanging around.

Today I'm home sick with the worst sore throat and cold//hot flashes ever...so lame. It's super nice out too, trying really hard to resist going for a short ride and stay in bed.

Yeah, we're about to move closer to a different (and better) area for my job and wife's school (same place). Hopefully live within a 4 mile radius of the place. I wouldn't even think about buying a parking permit.

Cleaning house every weekend pretty much, we have so much crap we forgot we even had.

Edit: Came home about 30 minutes ago to an awesome lunch made by my awesome wife:

Red leaf lettuce salad with homemade dressing
Followed by quinoa tabboloeh and pita bread
Then some citrus-based black bean chili and rice
Bonus: all vegan

Today I went on a ride to Walmart to buy some coffee. (ib4 criticism)

On my way back some redneck looking guy in a big Chevy truck yelled at me as I was turning a corner "Sweet bike, dude! I like it!" Definitely not what I was expecting to hear lol but still made me happy. This raleigh is really growing on me. It's been a solid and comfortable ride.

Are you sure he wasn't being facetious?

There was a pretty genuine smile and thumbs up that accompanied it and no laugh afterwards so I'm pretty sure he was being serious lol

I just found out that the restaurant that I opened as Sous last year, the place that sucked eight long months of my life away, the place that I worked my ass off for, the place that fired almost everyone who got it open, closed before it hit it's 1-year anniversary. Feeling a little bummed. Even though I wasn't there, I really wanted to see it succeed. My (literal) blood, sweat, and tears are in every part of that place. I sanded and refinished the tables, stained the bar, moved all of the equipment into the kitchen, helped write the menu... Man. I'm more than a little bummed...

Today my commute was a tad bit sketchy.

Today I made Dragon's Milk cupcakes (again), this time for a friend's imperial stout-themed birthday party tomorrow.

I'm an idiot and forgot to scroll down when making my shopping list, so i was short some of the ingredients for the frosting. Had to run to the corner store in 13 degree weather, woo.

I also totally forgot cupcake liners and improvised with parchment paper.

Baking is exhausting. Still haven't made the frosting and I already want to go to bed.

Today I blowed a redlight on my Redline Cross bike....as a 50 something guy was crossing the intersection..in his bright yellow jersey...he yelled out nice Redline...I wave and say thanks man....only to discover that he said nice redlight....lol

jimmytango 01-31-13 09:38 PM

Tomorrow is going to be mentally and physically exhausting. Work, beer shopping, a friend's party, seeing some people that I haven't seen since there was a ton of drama, sleep, and then get up and work 14 hours Saturday.

We definitely did that to the fattest guy in our section and reenacted that video. We had fun.

Mellophone*
But I'm probably going to keep playing at least until I'm 21, and age out of drum corps. I wish I had my own tuba, but its not really a big deal seeing as I can borrow one from school still.
