Today I caved and got a seat bag and got in a road ride.

My back is much happier now.

I believe this one is less susceptible to the bic exploit; the barrel lock has a larger diameter than the recalled lock. In other words, the barrel of the bic pen will split before shaping and fitting into the barrel lock key crevice. Nonetheless this lock was made in different safer times.

I believe the lock can be modernized too as I believe it's only the lock bracket/ shackle itself is krypto proprietary whilest the lock mechanism/ core is standard.

Worked in the shop getting a few bikes ready for possible sale, went for pho with my friend and was pleased to have been able to crank it up to 40 (kmh) on a slight uphill into the wind (on a gearie) as this means the bad leg is working better and can actually see the difference in the not so massive left quad. Having been riding harder, faster, and climbing as much of possible of late and it is starting to pay off.

Today I helped a dude do the craziest thing. He was outside the Freddy's messin' with his pedal, so I say "What's up with your pedal?"

Come to find out he'd bought a bike at SA with only one pedal. It's got 9/16" pedal holes of course, but he'd bought a 1/2" pedal. All the pedal hole threads are thrashed. So he says he'd had it rigged and it worked for a while but it just fell out. What he did was take a small allen wrench, like 1.5mm, and jam that and the 1/2" pedal in there and just kept turning 'til it kinda cut new threads in that one side of the hole. It took us about a half hour to get it to start, but finally got it sunk.

Wish I woulda got his number so I could check on how long that'll last. He say's he'll be in the shop next week tho.

Also, I got a letter from my landlord. Boils down to them saying that I can't shower after I get home from work (usually between one and two AM) because the noise from their ****ty plumbing is disturbing the neighbors that are the reason I had bedbugs. I can't ****ing wait to move.

Just came back from a midnight ride to kick off our annual bike month... was just me and a friend and without anyone to restrain us we went on a little hammerfest through the river valley and then climbed out on one of the least friendly roads possible (10-12% grade) and then chilled and talked bikes over cold beers in my shop.

lolwut? tell them to **** off, there is no way after being in a kitchen all day i could not take a SHOWER, especially after todays 12 hour shift.
