My first road bike came w that. I still ride it regularly.
It has shimano 10sp mix group on it now and OP/ultegra 32h wheels:

Hahaha, well duh; everyone here is Asian.

Ok no really, but a lot of SSFG is Asian. I find it amusing.

Ooh. I've been so pleased with my Terry Butterfly that I've never tried any other women's saddles. I do actually want to try some of the Selle offerings, but not if I have to pay full price for it.

nice ride!

it's full shimano 105, and the brakes and shifters are this pewter color I don't see much on older bikes. too lazy to check what rims they are, but they look cool in person, they look like machined aeroheads almost

RGNY 05-28-12 03:59 PM

[h=6]95 out there, but still managed to change tires on the cyclocross/commute bike and give them a try on a 20mi loop of road/gravel/grass/dirt. didn't push it and averaged about 13.3 mph. not too bad for an old man. that coconut water w/ lime was heaven when i finally got home. showered, now it's time for beer and Chicken Adobo and not much else.....[/h]
cut and paste came out weird......

Just sold my old eggbeaters on CL. Ad said $25 dollars firm, on account that they were just rebuilt and overhauled. We met up, and he said he only had $20 cash. I asked him what the ad said. "$25 firm" How much do you have? "$20" is that what the ad said? "no, but--" is that what the ad said? "no."

He mentioned he had paypal when we were talking in email, so I made him paypal me $5 on the spot.

I hate people like that; that come check out the item and totally say they only have XX sum of money which is close to your firm asking price. The last person who tried that on me with a BS story ended up having to leave the spot without a shirt on his back and no baseball cap on his head (he was bold). Totally worth the $10 he didn't have on him.

Ran a bunch of errands and rode out to the West end (about 10km) and was so nice that there is a little trail head there as I was rocking the fatties... tore up some trail and single track, took a cruise along the river, and then rode up and out on a fairly nasty climb and even passed a few people.

Picked up a White freewheel for the Pug (a local shop gives me an excellent discount), stopped at the co-op and installed that before I came home, and there is no sweeter sound than riding and having it sound like you are being chased by angry bees. As I could only get an 18 will have to order up a 22 tooth WI to replace the 22 tooth ACS... have never liked these freewheels as even when they are working fine they sound like they are going to come apart.

I have lived off white rice since moving out of my parents' house, it was still a staple then too. I'll only cut carbs if I start to gain a lot of weight. For now my commute (~100miles/week) and some other riding keeps me balanced.

I have been adding a lot of climbs and higher intensity riding to my routine... knocked down 25 today and can't remember when I have been able to climb this well on any bike and the Pug rocks a low that is still quite a bit higher than my Blizzard and my Moulden XC bike which have 24/34 low gears or about 19 gear inches.

Since I have a right leg that is much stronger than the left think the high traction and wide footprint on the Pug helps me maintain more steady torque.

Anyways... < 200 carbs a day does not seem to be causing me any problems when it comes to energy levels.

today i rode from the ferry to the GWB and back and got some intense sunburn on my shoulderblades, and i feel like im sweating more in my room just sitting down

lessons learned:
1) spf 4000 next time.
2) dont ride past the intrepid on memorial day.
3) get air conditioner.

Oy vey. 6 hours of "training" aka sitting in front of a computer screen watching videos. One section called "SWEET videos" Socks with each and every transaction is what that stands for. I can't ****ing make this **** up.

I finally get out on the floor (mind you, they're making me wrench bikes on a stand on the sales floor) imagine ****ing around with a set of testy brakes with some bro-dad breathing down your neck and some old dude asking "where the tennis rackets at?" I don't think I'm gonna last long here.

Sold a bike on my first day, which is cool. Got yelled at because it doesn't come installed with a kickstand out of the box, and when I tried to explain to him that his son was going to hurt his knees riding the bike with a slammed seatpost, he got all "my son can ride his new bike however he damn well pleases" on me.

WOOF. You're welcome Nagrom

Nagrom_ 05-28-12 05:03 PM

Thanks lol. Feel free to vent any time.

I was never sure if Dicks was supposed to refer to the products or the customers or the employees. Which one are you at?

Bahaha. I'm pretty good at always keeping my cool, but I get what you mean. The one on Maple. Quite a hike from where I actually live, on the other side of the city. I'd much rather be apprenticing at a local shop or something, but this was the first app I filled out before school ended and they called and hired me right away. Oh well, a job's a job

Still nothing impressive, but still breaking personal goals in the 90 degree heat feels pretty good. Time included for a beer.

Today, I actually got out for a ride, in spite of the heat. Yeah, I did a Hipster ride, to the coffeeshop on my FG. :p

My wife rode her bent, too. It was a short ride, but that's all I'm allowed for now by the cardiologist. Hey, I was just happy to get a ride in. :D

I want to steal that pugsley. I really want to know what it feels like to ride over rocks and gravel with giant tires like those.

Today is day #3 off the bike.

Feels freakin weird! Tomorrow I will ride.

You run over a 3' boulder and think to yourself, "Hmmmmm, there was a little bump!" ;)

Spoonrobot 05-28-12 06:47 PM

Today I bought my first car.
