Ever since I broke my big toe that toenail's been pretty gnarled. Maybe I oughtta take up toenail painting.

Although, I'm glad I'm a guy, all I have to worry about is cutting them.

So there's a better option out there than biting? Wait--you just use scissors or is there an actual tool for this?!?

I know who you're talking about. In fact, he is sitting right behind me.

Today I:

Today I tore down my paramount entirely and swapped over a cocktail of period appropriate 105 & tricolor/600 temporarily to refurb the campy parts that were on it.

gigantor 05-24-12 12:41 PM

I've painted my toenails before. Looked damn sexy.

Yesterday was my first ride ever as a spandex warrior. I also had my first serious crash two minutes in said ride which resulted in a broken clavicle, trashed front wheel, saddle, bars and jersey.
No biaks for 6 weeks. :(

ddeadserious 05-24-12 01:20 PM

Wow! That's a serious bummer, I'm sorry to hear. :( What happened?

jdgesus 05-24-12 01:29 PM

huge bummer

Holy **** man. :C

Breaking clavicles sucks. I broke both of mine LAST YEAR. How bad is the break? How did it happen?

made edit, cause i am an idiot ^^^^^^^

Son Of Ra 05-24-12 02:06 PM

Was riding in the bike lane when I came up behind him approaching an intersection, he didn't signal so I kept going at about 20mph when suddenly he began to turn. I tried turning with the jeep but there was no hope. Ripped his passenger side mirror clean off and rolled on the hood of the car, saw my bike and the mirror go flying ahead of me and I landed shoulder first. Broken bones and all worst part was seeing my bike go flying for a bit, ha.

HOW DO YOU SLEEP. Better yet, how'd you break both? Doctors said it was pretty bad. After the first X-ray the technologist said "Wow what the hell happened to you", that's when I realized I broke something.

You broke yours again? What happened this time? You make me feel like I'm a relatively safe rider and I thought I was an all out-of-control nutjob.

jimmytango 05-24-12 02:14 PM

Despite being bummed out/sad about a few things and work totally blowing huge donkey balls today, I am in a terrific mood. It's pretty ok.

Me thinks this is what we should do at a get-together. Maybe make them do our feet after a hard ride?

I broke them at different times last YEAR. (I just saw my typo.. ewps. HAHA doing too many things at once)

You have to find a recliner to sleep it, it's really the best you can do. It also helps when you want to get up. Getting out of bed was so goddamn hard.

Did you get the dude's info? I hope so.

****, talk about a typo. I broke both of mine last year. HAHA. Sorry. I did fall on the recently broken one a few weeks ago, and it's been giving me some trouble. Doc says it's not broken though. Just some severe muscle/nerve trauma. I already feel almost normal.

I am down for this type of bromance

Sherblock 05-24-12 03:18 PM

Today I:

Do they do spa treatments? Or do I have to bring my own cucumber slices?

hank0604 05-24-12 03:22 PM

Today I've been feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve, since the tracking said that my 722 was "on a truck for delivery today."

But since it's now almost 4:30 and still no bike, I'm beginning to feel like a kid on Christmas who just found out that there is no Santa and dad lost his job so there's no presents either.

LesterOfPuppets 05-24-12 03:34 PM

... just remembered how much I love it when the sun shines on wet roads and they put off steam. So rad!

Seriously. Relax.

Sixty Fiver 05-24-12 03:46 PM

Today I pretty much committed to buying a new SS bike... and am already planning to set it on fire.

:)

10:38pm on a Tuesday. I remember the time, and the dudes face. Mixed emotions though, "**** this guy!" and "sweet, my package!"

Also, got my Financial report for school next year. With grants and scholarships, I should be getting about a $6k return. Pretty sweet compared to this years $109 return.

swisscheese 05-24-12 04:52 PM

Starting to really prefer night rides, no traffic is great.

Wore my jacket anticipating rain that never showed, did however discover that you can in fact sweat through a waterproof jacket!
