Today, I am seriously in the best mood I've been in in months. I haven't been in this good of a mood since I went to Madison or Austin on vacations, but this time I don't know why.

Today, after riding brakeless for a whole year, I put on brakes. I went out for a ride and got hit by a car for the first time. Dented my top tube and broke brand new tektro R200's. :/

Wait until you get to ride around with a whole other bike strapped on. You just get stupid comments at that point
Mechanic asked what was wrong and when the guy gave his answer about the problem the mechanic says, if it is just a flat tyre you could have just brought in the wheel. |

today my wheel slid forward again from a dead stop~>start (resulting in the chain dropping and me holding up a ride for 5 minutes). my fat ass is too much for stupid ass allen key hubs. About to get a new rear wheel built, I feel like I can't trust this damn AC-Sheriff
of course I was paranoid the rest of the ride too, which is a real good way to ride brakeless at an avg moving speed around 20 |
took my first clipless biff when i got to work today: unclipped both feet, but managed to clip one foot back in while straddling the bike and getting off, don't ask me how.
i'm sure i had the Wiley E. Coyote look on my face on the way down. heard the 'click' and knew what was coming. luckily no one saw! WIN! cut a flap of skin off my knee with a pocket knife, treated it with some hand sanitizer and covered it with brown paper towel and Scotch tape. *so ghetto*. thank you ladies and gentlemen, next show is at 10pm, try the prime rib...... :/ |
Yesterday I decided to take my severely neglected caad9 off the wall, pump up the tires, and ride it, I get a block before I hear a loud hiss. Thank you state college partyers for the broken glass.
Today my project at work is actually working (unlike most research projects), which is awesome! |

I cleaned up the bike. Regular maintenance ftw. Also removed most of the decals off the wheels there were 8 on each side).
http://www.collectivedesign.net/bike/wheeldecal.jpg Decided I'm going to pickup these wheels : http://www.shop-yishunbike.com/index...k=1&Itemid=275 Just going to buy em and not look back. Hopefully I don't die. |
What wheels do you have now?

finding myself really wanting a road bike lately, or at least road geo + hoods

Today I was going to play Diablo 3. Come to find out that my PSU is fried. LAWLZ

DT Swiss R1700
The carbon wheels weigh about the same, but are more aerodynamic, and look awesome. I think they'd look nice on my bike. |

I love having a road bike. I also love having a fixed gear. One cannot replace the other. |
Just finished BS'ing a physics group final with my friend. We didn't know that it was due tomorrow until about 3 hours ago. Google docs is pretty cool.
|
So, I went to a 24-hour diner with my wife after work. Came out to two flat tires. I was watching my bike that whole time, and no one touched it. I am not sure what happened. Still in a good mood though.

Between the BMC and Bolt with hoods, I find myself riding both. Get bored of one, ride the other. It's been working pretty well.

Today I got rained on. Won a freeroll poker tourney for $10. Paid $5 to play another but lost but the bartender gave me a beer for putting away the chips.
Totally ruled the streets of Vancouver, USA on my Mongoose. Strava'd but prolly slow. |
