Today I spent 9 hours in a 110-degree kitchen. Now I'm drinking Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple and Powers whiskey. Good times.

Seriously. Also that it's a bad idea to grind welds, especially on something like a bicycle, since it lowers the structural integrity of the welds (and by extension, the frame).

Today I left a note on a ~90' Cannondale SR500 in my size, in that bright electric blue. I've seen the guy who parks it, doesn't look like much of a cyclist, I'm hoping he will let go of it.

Also, would it be sacrilege to put a modern group set on it? I'm thinking Ultegra.

I dunno, 90' sounds like it might be too big.

EDIT: I'm sure hairnet would love it, though.

Today marks the end of the semester. If it weren't for my tumor viruses and oncogenes class having absurd grade lines, I would have had a 4.0 again, but I got a B . Now my attention will shift from studying biochemistry relentlessly, to preparing for the GREs, doing research, riding bikes, and slappin' bass.

I thought Cannondale has been doing the smooth welds for a long time, and that the smooth portion is a finisher just for aesthetic purposes?

Do you weld bike frames Bananas? (just curious)

Today I left Amsterdam at 11:15am, and arrived in Chicago at 1:00pm after almost a 9hr flight. Time zone mind ****, man.

But, the good news is all of our Belgian beers (and our Dutch cheese) survived the flight in our checked bags! And customs didn't charge us duty or give us any hassle (in fact, the dude started talking to us about lambics).

Today I found out about what seems like would be the raddest bike ride series around. Unfortunately only a day before the second event, so will probably miss that one.

I found it hilarious that "bad idea to grind welds" and Cannnondale were mentioned on the same page, but not in the same posts. (prior to that one.)
