Today I rode a geared bike to work after replacing the bottom bracket and chain. Felt weird, man.

Mumonkan 08-14-12 05:06 PM

today i got my shorts & jersey from amazon, got home from work, cut off the tags and put in a fast 16 miles to test em out

kinda feels like im riding with just a shirt on, feels weird, man.

no more dirtying and wearing out my street clothes, and they beat the crap out of 511s

to compound to the situation, i used to live with her and am now house sitting an empty house for my parents while they are in paris having a blast w my sis. i get alot of time to twiddle my thumbs and think about how crappy i feel. yesterday i had a beer alone. lol. it wasnt in the dark tho.

Today I found out that my mailman got T-boned on his motorcycle a few days ago about a half mile from where I live by a girl who blew through a stop sign pulling out of a side street because she was ****ing texting.

She hit him, he went down and was then run over by oncoming cars in the other lane. He suffered two fractured vertebrae - one in his neck and the other in in his lower back - two broken legs, a broken arm, broken collarbone and fractured skull. Holy ****.

But he lived?

Mumonkan 08-14-12 06:08 PM

that blows. on the up(?)side hes still breathing. hopefully the guy will make a full recovery and wont be paralyzed for the rest of his life

when i had my motorcycle i was constantly dodging idiots not paying attention. its a lot more serious when youre just sitting on a 500 pound machine going 65 mph and someones strapped into their steel cage drifting in their lane or blowing signs

betcha the idiot was saying lol or some dumb **** to her other idiot friends who do the same thing
bet she was driving a white car too..im not one for the stereotypes of girls are bad drivers, but it seems every time theres an accident or near accident, theres a white car at fault

**** like this makes my ****ing blood boil.

The only car accident I was ever in, I was sitting at a red light and some girl rear-ended me going 25. Why? She dropped one of her chicken mcnuggets. She was totally oblivious to the amount of stupidity and negligence she had just displayed when I got out to talk to her. Just kept munching on french fries.

People like that need to be tied to a fencepost in the sun for a few days.

riding home from Tuesday night fencing practice in a thunderstorm has become a trend. although it's nice after getting hot and sweaty while encased in stretch kevlar.
