Today I found out who makes the Superb Sprint, where it's made and what it's made of. :innocent:

Dannihilator 09-04-12 09:24 PM

I have two guesses beginning with the letter "c":
Cannondale?

Children?

On another note; scrod spill the beans!

Scrodzilla 09-04-12 09:30 PM

They are made by Colossi in China.

Not necessarily a bad thing but I love how that dude Jason from Superb came here "defending" it saying it was designed specifically by them and bla bla bla. **** Superb.

Today I took the scenic route to the bar and put in 30 miles. Great to get some time in the saddle after my recent period of slacking off, but I also learned that Hollywood is a terrible part of town to ride a bike through. Lanes and lanes of stop & go traffic for miles. I miss being able to run red lights...

What a great picture! But seriously, we all feel like the kid in the Lion King sweater. This is awful.

I found out that one of the occasional "trouble" customers who visits the co-op is on youtube.
I helped him out last night before knowing about this video and about his history. And by help, I mean I showed him what was wrong and ended up doing the work for him.

Just did a tune-up on a Pinarello Dogma with full Campy Super Record and a Shamal wheelset. First time I'd been tempted to joyride a customer bike.

hairnet 09-05-12 03:17 PM

Well, YOU GOTTA TAKE IT ON A TEST RIDE RIGHT?? :D

I loved those nights working the co-op.

Today I survived the 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Costa Rica. Lost power for a few hours and a tree fell across the road to where I'm living but things are okay now. Pray for those people in the cities. There was a 6.1 down here in 2009 that killed 40 people and though there haven't been any fatalities reported yet, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about some in the coming days.

Sure will Epic. Glad you are ok. I actually have friends down there that seem to be doing ok.
The problem after the quakes are normally getting supplies/clean drinking water. Costa Rica has their stuff pretty well together hopefully it works out ok for you.

Dude is insane. He kept thinking the wheel was rubbing somewhere on the bike even though it was spinning freely. Later, I took it to the truing stand and he kept pointing and exclaiming, "THERE!", when the rim came close to the feeler. Then he would zone out or something. I kind of feel bad because something is wrong with him but other volunteers say he has been a dick to them.

Scrodzilla 09-05-12 06:40 PM

The part where he falls down (twice in a row) is the best. I would love to fight that guy.

Dannihilator 09-05-12 06:58 PM

Today I had a fun 34 miles.
