yeah the 8's as I understand it are a bit of the equivelant of Leuky's 05. Those models were raw and came with forged internals :)

Thanks guys. I plan on framing and selling them, so if you're actually interested, shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.

TMonk 10-19-12 02:24 PM

my dad is gonna sell me my moms 07 corolla w only 60k on it for like 3 grand

so effin stoked

if i take care of it, it should still be worth like 5grand when im ready to sell it. win.

striknein 10-19-12 02:33 PM

The wood I used was cheap luan subflooring. Carving super fine detail like that would have just resulted in me getting pissed off when the top layer of the wood chips at the very end of it.

Today i rode my 1980's schwinn fixed gear i converted to fixed gear yesterday.

RGNY 10-19-12 03:33 PM

work sucks when you have to train people for functions with very serious legal consequences who have never been held to any performance standard in the past. argh...so much dumb in the state system.

but i managed to hit both non-raining windows in the day for my commute. now i'm home with my favorite things: red meat, red wine and a redhead. :)

up at 5am tomorrow to drive to a fencing tournament. this one is for all the cookies....

Plan tonight: go home, watch Doctor Who, drink beer, sleep deeply.

So, I converted an old gary fisher mountain bike to an e-bike.

http://i.imgur.com/gqaxWl.jpg

And today I took it for a ride.

http://i.imgur.com/3w0q9l.jpg

And while I was on that ride, I may or may not have set a handful of KOMs on strava.

Whoops.

LesterOfPuppets 10-19-12 05:20 PM

Poor Gary Fisher bike + poor local NY State Stravers :)

Today I weighed the MTB tire I got for $10. Result : 472.2 grams.

I may go buy a couple more tomorrow if I like how morning trail ride goes.

Oh hush, it's just a wheel, a rack and a dorky ass bag. Nothing that can't be undone.

Muffin Man 10-19-12 06:15 PM

Learned how to repack a loose ball bearing hub for the first time today. I think I did it right.
And thank god for Sheldon Brown
