That's odd, when I did dirt jumping I used power bites and I don't recall having that issue...

Today I fell on a descent. My front brake cable ****ed up so I started using my rear to stop. Naturally, the might of my swole ass hands caused my rear wheel to lock. I skidded, my rear tire blewout, I went down. and besides some road rash on my arm and my wrist hurting, I'm fine.

but that doesn't matter because I just lost a brake cable, a tire, bar tape, and my left pedal is scratched. smh

edit: and I had to walk 2 miles downhill in my cleats because there was no reception up there

summer internship ended on friday.

moved out/chilled on saturday.

rode around with jdg and friends today.

been working too much and eating too much food and drinking too much beer lately to be on the bike much since the Seattle-to-Portland ride. felt good today tho. looking forward to the hi-70/low-80 + sunny weather for my last week in Seattle.

I'm so glad I live in MI, where the laws are a lot easier to understand, and a lot easier to own guns under. The only exception is where I live for school. Obviously nothing on campus, but all of the apartment complexes around there don't allow firearms. If you have them, you have to leave them 'checked in' at the police station. Makes going out to shoot a huge pain in the ass and too much or a run around.

Yeah... The laws are jank here, but hey, at least I can still own one.

I wouldn't trust anyone enough to leave my guns at a police station. That's so weird.

Exactly. Which is why I haven't brought anything up there. I wanted to buy something new this summer to shoot around with in any off time I somehow get up there, and then I remembered that I would have to go all the way to the station to get it, then a few miles in a different direction to go grab some ammo, and then a 20 min drive in yet another direction to go to the range. Waste of time.

Today I looked longingly at my bikes, put my sling on, and drove to work. Then when I got here, I noticed more people than usual were riding in, and it made me sad. BIKE EMOTIONS.

Geared. Chicago-Milwaukee century is in 2 weeks and I need to get used to riding that bike.

I weighed my bikes yesterday for laughs. Pikachu: 20.2 lbs. Goldie: (with rack) 27.8 lbs. Riding the geared bike after being on Pikachu all summer feels like I'm towing a trailer full of rocks.

Today (yesterday) I finished building the gf's Schwinn by slapping some brakes on it. Then I put a 120mm stem on my roadie and some new GP4KS. Feels good man.

Also Charlie, I shall be your friendz.
