That sucks
The most direct route to work has me dodging more doors and mindless drivers than I have ever had to before. I need to take another route before I do get hurt.
today my friend linked me to a CL ad for a 24" Panasonic mtb.
I will go there tomorrow because I am sick in bed today

U-brakes under stays were damn near ubiquitous in the late 80s. I figure it was so yer heels didn't clip cantis on most "normal" frame sizes. I was always tagging the non-lo-pro cantis on my 1988 Mongoose.

rode in the pouring rain to help officiate a funeral. lots of really rich white folks and a bagpiper. family was very appreciative. bonded w/ the 'regimentally' kilted bagpiper about people needing to HTFU regarding the weather.
as i was locking up my giant gothic stone edifice, someone asks me "how do you ride in the rain and the snow and all that?".
i told them "just keep pedaling".

Drop Bar MTB and FGMTB are on my want to make list. (two separate projects)
This bike has a huge head tube. I feel it will be slow, but still a good all-arounder - capable tourer if I get around to it.

big bike, even smaller wheels.

the proportions of that thing makes me think of jdgesus' folder
could fit like 15 bottle cages on there

It looks a little less dumb since I raised to be higher than the bar
let teh derailleurs hit the floor, let the derailleurs hit the floor

Today I put in a very leisurely 10 miles with the sqrl. Took some pics of the roadie with the new camera (posted appropriately). Wrapped the sqrl's bars with brooks that finally arrived, after wrestling off whatever the **** was already on there.
Good day.
Good day.
the LBS called me right before closing and told me my stuff was in: SKS Longboard fenders installed with much swearing. great once they're on, but grrrr......better rain tomorrow. Cygolite Metro 300 currently charging.
may have to throw a half link in my chain, or just get a new chain. with 32's the fender clearance is a little tight at the chainstay bridge. good thing i didn't slam the wheel.
hung out at the tattoo shop with a couple girls i know. they start trash talking and one yells at the other "you can't say -vagina- to Rob (me), he's married!". huh?

Today I am feeling kind of ostracized. I've lost some friends recently, and I don't like it.
In lighter news, I may be grabbing this soon:

1959-1960 Boisis Special, handbuilt in France, 61cm. Has original Stronglight BB and headset, and stock bars & stem.
How can I afford it? The district manager is talking to me about promoting me to operations manager of the store, which would give me a significant boost in wages. Awesome.
