On vacation today. Got hooked on 'Curiosity - what's inside the freakin cube'. I think the cube is growing. Don't touch the Facebook icon or you will lose your coins.

Today I started my first day working at a daycare for kids 6-12.....holy ****. Looking after kids is hard work. They're either jumping, fighting, yelling, or picking each others noses. Before leaving one of them came up to and begged me to come back tomorrow. It felt pretty awesome.

Ahhh man. I been there. After school tutoring for elementary school kids. If you ain't yellin at them every five minutes, you ain't doing it right.

They can get pretty attached to you too. Makes a whole lot of sense. Don't discredit yourself in that type of job, people who do that play a huge part in raising and teaching them.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

The rear fender on my bike just up 'n' broke. About 1 year old. Thought my bike was getting noisier than it should, and when I stopped and looked, the fender was in two pieces. Took the shards to the LBS, the manager talked to the SKS distributor and they're sending me a new fender! Woot!

Nice job! That fork looks awesome in the two tone. Texas A&M brings back memories...

Today I drilled a brake hole in my Alien track fork. Frame, fork, headset, and bb cost as much as a nice predrilled fork would, so I just went for it. Scary with no guidance, but I had access to a drill press which made it all possible. I didn't have a jig or anything of that sort, but I managed to make a working system with no issues. I've been carving a lot of trails in my bike mechanic diaries this month, with just the help of bikeforums research. Feels good.

Today I learned from my Asia bike industry homie that the brand Dawes is pronounced "Da Wes" instead of "Daws." Go figure.
